{"id":51510,"date":"2016-07-25T14:12:14","date_gmt":"2016-07-25T13:12:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=51510"},"modified":"2016-07-25T14:12:14","modified_gmt":"2016-07-25T13:12:14","slug":"avengers-bomb-nnpc-gas-pipeline-ibom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/avengers-bomb-nnpc-gas-pipeline-ibom\/","title":{"rendered":"Again, Avengers bomb  NNPC gas pipeline in A-Ibom"},"content":{"rendered":"<pre><em>\u2026.Ibom Patriots warn Avengers to limits its bombings to Delta<\/em>\r\n\r\nNiger Delta Avengers on Sunday night allegedly blew up the Nigeria\r\nNational Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, gas pipeline at Nsite Ibom Local\r\nGovernment Area, Akwa Ibom State.\r\nBut a pressure group, Ibom Patriots, has advised the rampaging militants\r\nto limit their nefarious activities to Delta State, where they have\r\ndestroyed many pipelines in a desperate bid to cripple the economy.\r\nThe group aligned itself with the statement credited to the Vice\r\nPresident, Professor Yemi Osinbajo that the Avengers were fighting for\r\ntheir own pockets, asking why this current spate of bombings as soon as\r\nthe federal government declared Tompolo wanted over alleged corrupt\r\nenrichment.\r\nCoordinator of the group, Udeme Bassey warned that no ethnic group has the\r\nmonopoly to embark on violent activities as the Avengers were currently\r\ndoing and reiterated call that they should not venture into Akwa Ibom\r\nland.\r\nAccording to the group, it would take several years to clean the spills\r\ncaused by such dastard acts, saying that Akwa Ibom state has been a\r\npeaceful and that the environment was the only heritage of the people, and\r\ndestroying it as the militant group was doing tantamount to self-inflicted\r\npains.\r\nThe spokesperson of the militant group, self-styled Brigadier General \r\nMudoch Agbinibo, in a statement, challenged NNPC to \u201ccheck their pipeline\r\nif it is \u2018system anomaly.\u2019\r\n\u201d The statement read: \u201cAt 11:30pm on Sunday, the NDA blow up Nigerian\r\nNational Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), gas pipeline at Nsit-Ibom L.G.A,\r\nAkwa Ibom state.
