{"id":51668,"date":"2016-07-28T16:12:39","date_gmt":"2016-07-28T15:12:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=51668"},"modified":"2016-07-28T16:12:39","modified_gmt":"2016-07-28T15:12:39","slug":"apc-failed-nigerians-lack-capacity-lead-dokpesi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/apc-failed-nigerians-lack-capacity-lead-dokpesi\/","title":{"rendered":"APC Has Failed Nigerians, Lack Capacity To Lead-Dokpesi"},"content":{"rendered":"<pre>The national chairmanship hopeful of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,\r\nHigh Chief Raymond Dokpesi, has said that the ruling All Progressives\r\nCongress, APC, has demonstrated that it lacks the capacity and experience\r\nto lead a united and prosperous Nigeria.\r\n\r\nDokpesi who disclosed this during his meeting with delegates from Ebonyi\r\nstate at the party secretariat in Abakaliki, said that APC came to power\r\nby accident and has failed to fulfill its campaign promises.\r\n\r\n\"The APC has shown they came to power by accident with no clear plan on\r\nhow to govern the country. They lack the required capacities and\r\nexperiences to lead Nigeria.\r\n\r\n\u201cThose that said they have better ideas than the PDP have left the country\r\nin hunger. They have divided the country and failed to deliver on their\r\nelectoral promises. The cost of kerosene, diesel, tomatoes, garri, rice\r\nand others are at all-time high,\u201d he had earlier stated at Enugu where he\r\nwas warmly received and assured of support.\r\n\r\nThe media mogul maintained there is no faction in the PDP, noting that the\r\nera of impunity is gone for good in the party.\r\n\r\n\u201cThere is no faction. It is a group of persons living in the past, in the\r\nera of impunity. They will not succeed because the will of God and the\r\nwishes of the 99.99 percent party faithfuls will prevail,\u201d he said.\r\n\r\nHe told the delegates that he is ready to rebuild, rebrand and reposition\r\nthe party, adding that APC has failed Nigerians.\r\n\r\n\u201cI am soliciting for your support so that I can serve you. I am a builder\r\nand a pioneer in so many areas, so, I am ready with your permission to\r\nrebuild our great party for Nigerians. In 2015, our then presidential\r\ncandidate, former president Goodluck Jonathan maintained that his ambition\r\nis not worth the blood of any Nigerian. It is a lesson that democracy can\r\nwork in Africa. With your support, I will lead a vibrant PDP as opposition\r\nand we will present candidates that will win in 2019 so that power can\r\nreturn to the people,\u201d he said.\r\n\r\nThe Ebonyi state PDP chairman, Barrister Onyeka Nwebonyi, lauded Dokpesi\r\nfor presenting himself to serve the party at a critical time.\r\n\r\nHe assured him that the state will not disappoint him because he has the\r\ncredentials to lead the party.\r\n\r\n\u201cPDP is facing a critical challenge and we require an experienced,\r\nintelligent and God-fearing leader like you. You are qualified to lead the\r\nparty. We will take your message to our leader, the governor of the state,\r\nthat you have met the delegates and offered to serve the party. We are\r\nunited and we will not disappoint you at the convention.
