Ekiti State Governor,\u00a0 Mr. Ayodele Fayose has described his Stomach
\nInfrastructure Program as a way of life he is not ready to jettison
\nanytime soon. He made this assertion while speaking with journalists
\nafter a special session with widows from across the state at Funmilayo
\nOlayinka Women Development Centre, Fajuyi, Ado Ekiti on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Governor Fayose who promised to continue to do his best in making the
\nwidows happy assured them that he’ll ensure their quota in the poverty
\nalleviation scheme whereby #5,000 will be paid ten thousand
\nbeneficiaries is well protected.<\/p>\n
“It’s an ongoing thing, we didn’t just start today, today’s program is
\nmeant to alleviate the suffering of the people,\u00a0 to help them in
\nkeeping body and soul together,\u00a0 this is the one for the widows,\u00a0 we
\nhave done for people in some other sectors that needs to be supported.<\/p>\n
“It’s a way of life, we are doing it continuously and we’ll not stop.
\nThe #5,000 monthly stipend we talked about,\u00a0 it’s about our poverty
\nalleviation package of #5,000 per person, though it cannot go round at
\na time,\u00a0 we will ensure we maximize the number of beneficiaries from
\nthe widow’s category,\u00a0 we’ll make sure they get the stipend,\u00a0 and on
\ntime too”, the governor said.<\/p>\n
Participants at the program went home with food items and some cash,
\nthey appreciated the government’s kind gesture and\u00a0 urged the governor
