The Federal High Court, Abuja, has said it will not grant any application<\/p>\n
brought by the Department of State Services (DSS) until all orders of the
\ncourt are obeyed.<\/p>\n
A vacation judge, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, made this known in Abuja when DSS
\nCounsel GOA Agbadua brought an application for a remand warrant Dimgba
\nsaid it would be wrong for the court to grant an application of the DSS
\nwhen it had no regard for orders of the court.<\/p>\n
He said that he had ordered that retired Air Commodore Umar Mohammed, who
\nwas arraigned before him, to be remanded in Kuje Prison pending the
\nhearing of his bail application.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut the DSS decided to keep him in its custody against the order of the
\ncourt.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
Dimgba also cited another instance when he ordered the service to produce
\nsome accused persons in court but noted that the DSS had yet to comply.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe court will not grant any application of the DSS until there is
\nsufficient proof that all orders of the court have been obeyed.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will be counter-productive for the court to take this application and
\ngrant the reliefs sought by the DSS.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis court hereby adjourns this application sine die until the
\napplicant\u2019s counsel files an affidavit deposing to the fact that all
\noutstanding orders of this court on the DSS have been complied with.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
Dimgba had berated the DSS for flaunting orders of the court, one of which
