The Nigerian Army has declared Ahmed Salkida (Ambassador), Ahmed U. Bolori\u00a0and Aisha Wakil wanted.<\/p>\n
This was contained in a statement signed by Colonel Sani K. Usman, Acting
\nDirector, Army Public Relations.<\/p>\n
He said that the three persons have been declared wanted because they are
\nin possession of information on the conditions and the exact location of
\nschoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram from Government Secondary School,
\nChibok, Borno State, in 2014.<\/p>\n
The Army said its action is based on relevant laws.<\/p>\n
“We are relying on the relevant laws of the land and in particular the
\nTerrorism Prevention Act 2011 (as amended), where Nigerians could be
\npunished for failure to disclose information about terrorists or terrorist
\nactivities.<\/p>\n
“This becomes necessary as a result of their link with the last two videos
\nreleased by Boko Haram terrorists and other findings of our preliminary
\ninvestigations,” the statement said.<\/p>\n
There Army added that it is certain that the wanted persons have links
\nwith Boko Haram terrorists and have contact with them.<\/p>\n
“They must, therefore, come forward and tell us where the group is keeping
\nthe Chibok Girls and other abducted persons to enable us to rescue them,”
\nthe statement added.<\/p>\n
The Army called on the general public to provide information on the
\nwhereabouts of the wanted persons.<\/p>\n
Colonel Usman added that it is working with other security agencies for
\ntheir arrest if they fail to turn up.<\/p>\n
Mr. Salkida is a notable Nigerian journalist who has remained a credible
\nsource of information about Boko Haram activities.<\/p>\n
He has occasionally acted as a negotiator between the Nigerian government
\nand Boko Haram militants before going on exile.<\/p>\n
Mr. Salkida has remained active from exile providing up to date
\ninformation and free advice on Boko Haram activities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
