risen from a meeting in Uromi with a communiqu\u00e9 urging support by entire<\/p>\n
Esan land for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket of<\/p>\n
Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Hon. John Yakubu.<\/p>\n

The group, according to the two-page communiqu\u00e9 jointly signed by Chairman<\/p>\n
of the meeting, Professor P.O. Onolemhemhen and conveners of the<\/p>\n
meeting–Rt. Hon Friday Itulah, Bishop (Dr) Anthony Okosun, Clifford E.<\/p>\n
Inegbedion, High Chief Enia Moses, William Oniha and Chief (Mrs)<\/p>\n
Azeke–thanked Esan leaders for choosing one of their own, Hon. Yakubu, as<\/p>\n
running mate to Ize-Iyamu of the PDP.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It urged all Uromi sons and daughters in particular and Esans in general<\/p>\n
across Edo State to vote en-masse for the Ize-Iyamu\/Yakubu governorship<\/p>\n
ticket in the September 10 election.<\/p>\n

The meeting, the communiqu\u00e9 said, thanked the conveners for their<\/p>\n
\u201cforesight in bringing Uromi sons and daughters, Uromi-based clubs and<\/p>\n
associations to discuss a common issue for the security and wellbeing of<\/p>\n
the people,\u201d and urged that \u201ca similar meeting of this nature be convened<\/p>\n
whenever issues affecting the security and wellbeing of Uromi people<\/p>\n
arise.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the communiqu\u00e9, the meeting resolved that \u201cat all times,<\/p>\n
Uromi people should stand behind their sons and daughters holding<\/p>\n
positions of authority in all areas of human endeavour anywhere without<\/p>\n
reservations.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The meeting, the communiqu\u00e9 continued, \u201curged all sons and daughters of<\/p>\n
Uromi kingdom at home and in the Diaspora to organise themselves into<\/p>\n
groups and associations for the purpose of promoting, propagating and<\/p>\n
