Chieftain and frontline contender for National Chairman of Peoples
\nDemocratic Party\u00a0 {PDP }, Chief\u00a0 Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi has described the
\ndecision of the Independent National Electoral Commission, {INEC } to
\npostpone Edo Governorship Election as \u201cunfortunate\u201d.<\/p>\n
In a statement by Omor Bazuaye, Media Aide to Raymond Dokpesi Campaign
\nOrganisation, Dokpesi said it is a shame that once again Nigerians are
\nsubjected to this kind of gross impunity and flagrant abuse of power that
\nis currently being exhibited.<\/p>\n
Dokpesi received\u00a0 information about the postponement just as he led a last
\nminute campaign for candidate of PDP, Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu in Etsako
\nEast; taking the campaign and the message of a better future from his own
\nward 1 deep into zone 4.<\/p>\n
Dokpesi said what INEC had done was to postpone PDP\u2019s victory at the polls
\nand delay the inevitable defeat of the ruling All Progressives Congress
\n{APC} in the state.<\/p>\n
He said no matter how many times and how long INEC postpones the election,
\nthe people in his Etsako East have rejected APC and have made up their
\nminds to vote PDP.<\/p>\n
Dokpesi visited Oshiolo Village where he met with the village head,\u00a0 Chief
\nAgaye Izobor.<\/p>\n
The campaign trail then journeyed to Ekwotsor where it was received by a
\nlarge crowd of party supporters before moving on to other neighbouring
\nvillages like Agiere and Weppa.<\/p>\n
