Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has berated Edo State Governor,
\nAdams Oshiomhole\u00a0 over his penchant\u00a0 for lies and his confirmed
\ninconsistencies,\u00a0 simply because\u00a0 he is in a panic mode over the rejection
\nof\u00a0 the APC in Edo State.<\/p>\n
Governor Wike\u00a0 stated that it was completely\u00a0 untrue that he and his Delta
\nState\u00a0 counterpart,\u00a0 Senator Ifeanyi Okowa mobilised militants to Edo
\nState.<\/p>\n
The governor\u00a0 further denied the false allegation\u00a0 by Oshiomhole\u00a0 that he
\nsent N2billion to the\u00a0 Edo State PDP Governorship candidate.<\/p>\n
Speaking\u00a0 when he granted audience\u00a0 to the Inter-Party Advisory Council\u00a0 (
\nIPAC ),\u00a0\u00a0 Rivers State\u00a0 at the Government House, Port Harcourt on
\nWednesday,\u00a0 Governor\u00a0 Wike\u00a0 said\u00a0 that\u00a0 it is shocking\u00a0 that at his age,
\nOshiomhole\u00a0 still believes\u00a0 in drama and lies.<\/p>\n
IPAC comprises of all registered\u00a0 political\u00a0 parties.\u00a0 Only the All
\nProgressives Congress, APC, was absent at the Solidarity Visit by the
\nregistered political\u00a0 parties\u00a0 to Governor Wike.<\/p>\n
He said that he was shocked by Oshiomhole\u2019s\u00a0 allegation\u00a0 because\u00a0 on the
\nday of the campaign,\u00a0 he met with the outgoing\u00a0 governor alongside\u00a0 other
\nAPC Governors at the Benin airport where they all embraced.<\/p>\n
“Oshiomhole even cornered me and said ‘ don’t mind these people,\u00a0 they
\ndon’t know that we meet and talk”, he said.<\/p>\n
He said: “If Oshiomhole\u00a0 has lost the confidence of his people,\u00a0 he should
\nnot blame\u00a0 me. He brought the President and 10 APC\u00a0 Governors and he was
\nnot satisfied.\u00a0 Only because\u00a0 two PDP governors visited Edo State,
\nOshiomole\u00a0 is panicking.<\/p>\n
“Oshiomhole\u00a0 at his age should\u00a0 stop dramatising\u00a0 and telling lies. What
\nwill his children\u00a0 say when they see him behave like that”.<\/p>\n
Governor Wike added: “If you cannot win election,\u00a0 you cannot win election
\nno matter the number\u00a0 of\u00a0 security\u00a0 reports that you write.<\/p>\n
“Oshiomhole\u00a0 doesnt know when\u00a0 to stop lying. Why do you\u00a0 think\u00a0 that you
\nwill continue\u00a0 to\u00a0 deceive\u00a0 the people.\u00a0 This was the same man who praised
\nformer President Goodluck Jonathan for promoting\u00a0 free and fair election,
\none man, one vote which saw Oshiomhole\u00a0 win a second\u00a0 term. Today in his
\nnotorious\u00a0 inconsistency,\u00a0 anywhere\u00a0 Oshiomhole\u00a0 goes, he insults the
\nformer President.\u00a0 When President\u00a0 Buhari\u00a0 leaves office, Oshiomole\u00a0 will
\ndo the same to him”.<\/p>\n
He noted that he was in Edo State\u00a0 to campaign\u00a0 for\u00a0 the\u00a0 PDP\u00a0 the same
\nway that Oshiomhole\u00a0 stormed Rivers State in 2015 to campaign\u00a0 for\u00a0 the
\nthen\u00a0\u00a0 APC\u00a0 Governorship candidate\u00a0 in the state.<\/p>\n
The governor\u00a0 explained\u00a0 that : “What I told Edo people that has set
\nOshiomhole\u00a0 in panic mode is that they should not trust INEC\u00a0 or the
\nsecurity\u00a0 agencies\u00a0 because they will never be neutral.\u00a0 I still\u00a0 repeat
\nthat the Edo people must remain\u00a0 vigilant so that they their votes will
\ncount”.<\/p>\n
He charged Nigerians\u00a0 to disregard\u00a0 Oshiomhole\u2019s\u00a0 lies as he is no longer
\npro-people.<\/p>\n
He said : “The Comrade in Oshiomhole has died long ago. There is no
\nComrade in him. From Khaki,\u00a0 he is now wearing costly\u00a0 imported Safari
