Zamfara State Governor, Mr. Abdulaziz Yari has said there is absolutely<\/p>\n
nothing wrong in his quest to marry Zahra Buhari as his fourth wife to
\nboost his political chances.<\/p>\n
This is even as text messages seen by Pointblanknews.com while the
\nGovernor was shopping at the Apple Store on 5th Avenue, New York City,
\nshows him apologizing to Zahra over the reports of his relationship with
\nher.
\nYari is 49, according to his biography while Zahra who just graduated from
\na British University turned 21, December 18, 2015.<\/p>\n
President Mohammadu Buhari had given a stern warning to his daughter,
\nZahra, to stay away from Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State who has
\nmade several moves to marry the pretty daughter of the President,
\nPresidential sources had told Pointblanknews.com.<\/p>\n
Yari, notorious for engaging in political marriages, in his reaction to
\nPointblanknews.com report on his desperation to marry the President\u2019s
\nyoungest daughter said he is not the first to desire to marry a 21year
\nold.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat is wrong wanting to marry Zahra, am I the first to marry a young
\ngirl, have you not heard of people marrying 12yr old girls and what is
\nwrong boosting my political chances,\u201d Yari told Pointblanknews.com through
\nhis Media Aide, Mallam Ibrahim Dosara in a twelve minutes\u2019 telephone
\nconversation.<\/p>\n
Dosara who also expressed anger over Pointblanknews.com reports exposing
\nthe Governor\u2019s N400million unappropriated funds spent on a one day visit
\nof Buhari said no fund like that was spent. Even though the Governor had
\nowned up to spending N400million during the July 13 visit of the
\nPresident, when confronted by some officials in the Presidency.<\/p>\n
Pointblanknews.com had reported that the Zamfara Governor is currently at
\nthe UN Millennium Hotel, New York, where the President and his families
\nare lodged as a member of the Federal Government\u2019s delegations to the
\nUnited Nations General Assembly.<\/p>\n
Governor Yari said to be desperately interested in marrying Zahra to boost
\nhis political chances is using the opportunity of the U.S trip to fine
\ntune his marriage plans and sending emissaries to persuade the President
\nto rescind his earlier stonewalling.<\/p>\n
Sources told Pointblanknews.com that the Zamfara Governor has gone as far
\nas dolling out gifts to the first lady and other members of the Buhari
\nfamily.<\/p>\n
He is also alleged to have funded the First Lady\u2019s recent Hajj trip to
\nSaudi Arabia with $1million.<\/p>\n
Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State had earlier been rumored to be
\ninterested in the President\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n
Yari, has as part of his moves enlisted the husband of Halima, elder
\ndaughter of Buhari, showered him gifts including awarding him contracts in
\nZamfara state to persuade the first family into accepting his overtures to
\nmarry the President\u2019s daughter who just graduated from a British
\nUniversity.
\n\u201cHe has not only been using Halima\u2019s husband, he has also reached out to
\nthe first lady and showered her with several gifts including money when
\nshe was going for the Hajj. I think the First Lady is playing along.\u201d<\/p>\n
Governor Yari\u2019s desperation to marry Zahra is a subject of discussion in
\nGusau Government House where senior officials condemn the Governor\u2019s
\ndesperation.<\/p>\n
A Government source told Pointblanknews.com that in spite of the lean
\nresources of the Governor, he makes available cash gifts running into
\nseveral millions to the First Lady, Halima\u2019s husband and other members of
\nthe Buhari\u2019s family in a bid to have them convince President Buhari who
\nhas frowned at the Governor\u2019s antic.<\/p>\n
\u201cThings are not going well here in Gusau. The story is everywhere and we
\nare particularly not happy with the fact that state resources have now
\nbeen committed into wooing the President\u2019s daughter. It is very
\nembarrassing the way the Governor is going about it, an official at the
\nGovernment House, Gusau told Pointblanknews.com.<\/p>\n
The source who shares family relationship with the Governor said the only
\nstumbling block is the President who has given a stern warning to his
\ndaughter to stay away from Governor Yari. \u201cThe President wants his
\ndaughter to marry someone not as old as Governor Yari,\u201d according to the
\nsource.<\/p>\n
Sources told Pointblanknews.com that the Governor argued that the
\nPresident does not have the moral right to reject his overtures to marry
\nZahra on account of age because Buhari is over 30years older than Aisha.<\/p>\n
The Zamfara Governor is notorious with Political Marriages. His third wife
\nis the daughter of Umaru Shinkafi, a popular Politician in Zamfara State.
\nYari married her to get political blessings for his Governorship ambition.<\/p>\n
\u201cYari is a politician who wants to survive at all cost. He married his
\nthird wife, the daughter of Shinkafi and got the support of the people of
\nZamfara because of Shinkafi. Shinkafi is dead now and the people are not
\nhappy with him so he wants Buhari\u2019s daughter because that is what may
\nguarantee him survival in 2019,\u201d a source close to the Governor said.<\/p>\n
Sources told Pointblanknews.com that Yari is eyeing the Presidency or a
\nSenate seat in 2019 and would need to solidify his base by marrying the
\ndaughter of the President to edge out any opposition.<\/p>\n
A source in Gusau said Governor Yari is contemplating taken over from
\nSenator Sani Yerima whose relationship with President Buhari has waned.<\/p>\n
Mr. Abdulaziz Yari who runs a haulage business in Washington DC and hardly
\nstays in Nigeria, allegedly collected over N400million from the state
\ncoffers without appropriation by the State House of Assembly to entertain
\nPresident Mohammadu Buhari\u2019s visit to the state in July, 2016.<\/p>\n
His incessant absence from Gusau has almost grounded Government activities
