Former Jigawa State Governor,\u00a0Dr Sule Lamido has advised the leadership
\nof \u00a0the \u00a0All Progressives Congress \u00a0( APC)\u00a0at all levels to learn the art
\nand science \u00a0of leadership and \u00a0projects delivery from Rivers State
\nGovernor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.<\/p>\n
This is \u00a0as the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike declared \u00a0this
\nis not the time \u00a0for\u00a0leaders to make excuses as the people expect their
\nleaders to deliver \u00a0on their \u00a0campaign \u00a0promises.
\nBoth leaders spoke during the commissioning of the reconstructed
\nOzuoba-Rumosi road in Obio\/Akpor Local\u00a0Government Area on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The road was commissioned \u00a0by \u00a0the \u00a0immediate past governor of Jigawa
\nState, Dr Sule Lamido.
\nDr Sule Lamido said that the leadership of the APC\u00a0is learning on the job
\nafter their electoral victory, pointing out that they have embarrassed
\nNigeria \u00a0internationally \u00a0through their failure to work for Nigerians.<\/p>\n
He said: “Only PDP Governors are working. We in PDP, \u00a0care and we are
\nconcerned. If we are giving a responsibility, we discharge it creditably.
\nGovernor Wike has done very well. \u00a0I extend the gratitude \u00a0of the entire
\nPDP family to Governor Wike for his performance “.
\nHe said APC \u00a0cannot work for Nigerians because the party lacks the
\ncapacity \u00a0for pro-people \u00a0governance , they only grabbed power for the
\nsake of \u00a0it and not for service.<\/p>\n
The former governor \u00a0called on Nigerians to build understanding \u00a0amongst
\nthemselves for the promotion \u00a0of \u00a0unity, peace and prosperity.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike \u00a0said: “Whether
\nthere is economic \u00a0recession \u00a0or not, I will always fulfill my campaign
\npromises \u00a0to the people of the state.<\/p>\n
“They people have\u00a0played their part by voting us. Therefore, we have a
\nresponsibility \u00a0to work for our people. They don’t deserve excuses.”<\/p>\n
Governor Wike \u00a0explained \u00a0that the Ozuoba-Rumosi \u00a0road\u00a0is a direct reward
\nto the people of Akpor Kingdom \u00a0for their support. He said that the
\ncommunity \u00a0was forgotten \u00a0by the previous administration, hence his
\nresolve to reconstruct the road linking \u00a0them with their kith and kin \u00a0in
\nneighbouring \u00a0communities.
\nEarlier, the \u00a0Works Commissioner, Mr Iheanyichukwu Harrison said the road
\nwas so deplorable \u00a0that the people of the area were cut off \u00a0from \u00a0their
\nneighbours.
\nThe highpoint of the commissioning \u00a0of the road project \u00a0was the defection
\nof hundreds of APC \u00a0members \u00a0to the PDP is appreciation \u00a0of Governor
