Rivers State Governor has accused the Independent National Electoral<\/p>\n
Commission , INEC , Police \u00a0and the All Progressives Congress \u00a0( APC) of
\ncolluding \u00a0to rig the forthcoming Rivers Rerun elections .<\/p>\n
The governor \u00a0stated that in collusion with INEC , the APC Official
\nPrinter , Atonyesia Peterside had printed fake result sheets for seven
\nlocal government areas in Rivers South-East Senatorial District and Etche
\nLocal Government Area in Rivers East Senatorial District .<\/p>\n
Addressing a World Press Conference at the Government House , Port
\nHarcourt on Sunday , Governor Wike \u00a0declared that INEC \u00a0released all the
\nofficial \u00a0data of the specific polling \u00a0units where elections \u00a0will hold
\nto the APC Official Printer , Atonyesia Peterside \u00a0for the printing of
\nfake result sheets, ballot papers and other sensitive materials .<\/p>\n
The governor \u00a0 told the press conference \u00a0attended by major Rivers State
\nStakeholders that despite overwhelming \u00a0evidence , the police have stated
\nthat they are under instructions \u00a0from Abuja not to prosecute \u00a0the
\nprinter.<\/p>\n
He added that the police authorities \u00a0have \u00a0further stated that they will
\nnot arrest Mr Emmanuel Chinda, Former Agriculture Commissioner and Rivers
\nAPC Chieftain, because \u00a0the party considers it an embarrassment to APC.<\/p>\n
According to him, the Police \u00a0are already working \u00a0round the clock to
\ndestroy \u00a0the \u00a0overall \u00a0evidence \u00a0of \u00a0the \u00a0printing \u00a0of fake election
\nresult \u00a0sheets and other \u00a0sensitive \u00a0materials as well as \u00a0doctor \u00a0the
\nconfessional statement \u00a0of \u00a0the prime suspect, Mr Atonyesia Peterside, who
\nis a cousin of the defeated APC Governorship candidate in Rivers State.<\/p>\n
He said: “We made sure that the overwhelming evidence \u00a0were filmed before
\nthey \u00a0were handed over to the police. \u00a0We know the system \u00a0that the police
\nwill destroy \u00a0the \u00a0evidence.<\/p>\n
“Police instead of concluding the \u00a0investigation and charge those
\nresponsible to court, the police are telling \u00a0us that are having \u00a0pressure
\nfrom above to release \u00a0the culprits and not to charge them \u00a0to court”.<\/p>\n
The governor declared: “PDP will resist any attempt \u00a0by \u00a0INEC \u00a0to rig the
\nrerun \u00a0elections in Rivers State. You go and print fake result sheets and
\nyou expect us not to resist it?<\/p>\n
“Let me see the INEC \u00a0official \u00a0who will introduce the fake result sheets
\nduring the rerun elections. \u00a0If you \u00a0rig this election, you rig your
\nlife”.<\/p>\n
“If you like bring American marines, we will resist them. Rivers State
\nis not Edo and it is not Ondo. Nobody will \u00a0impose any representative on
\nus.<\/p>\n
“INEC \u00a0cannot take us for a ride. We will \u00a0not allow it . INEC must stop
\nits collusion \u00a0with APC . Yes,\u00a0INEC \u00a0was appointed by \u00a0the APC , but they
\nwere not appointed to rig elections “.<\/p>\n
Governor Wike stated that he believes \u00a0that President Buhari will not
\nsupport \u00a0the electoral fraud being perpetrated \u00a0by the APC, INEC and
\npolice as it is unlimited \u00a0corruption .
\nIt will be recalled that a plot by the agents of the Rivers APC \u00a0to rig
\nthe forthcoming \u00a0Rivers South-East \u00a0Senatorial District\u00a0 was uncovered \u00a0as
\nthe Police \u00a0on Saturday \u00a0bursted a fake result sheets printing syndicate
\nin Port Harcourt .<\/p>\n
The Printing Press, Help-Mate Consult located at 12 Isiokpo Street D-Line
\nPort Harcourt \u00a0was printing fake result sheets \u00a0for seven local government
\nareas of the Rivers South-East \u00a0when the police stormed the facility \u00a0upon
\na tip off by a concerned Nigerian .<\/p>\n
Earlier, the graphic \u00a0designer of the APC Official Printer , Mr Godday
\nNanee \u00a0told journalists \u00a0that Emmanuel Chinda , Former Agriculture
\nCommissioner and Rivers APC Chieftain brought the sample Result sheets
\nwhich he designed.<\/p>\n
He said he was in the process of additional designing \u00a0additional
