President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday warned that the two million displaced<\/p>\n
Nigerians in refugee camps must be properly resettled if the country is to
\navert a relapse into another social crisis.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a meeting with Sheikh Sharif Mohammed Kabir Ibn Mohammad, the
\nworld leader of Tijjaniya Islamic Movement at the State House, the
\nPresident lamented the destruction of public institutions in the North
\nEast by Boko Haram terrorists.<\/p>\n
\u201cGovernment is faced with the problem of repairing schools, health centres
\nand whole towns. We must repair their schools and recruit teachers
\notherwise they will become tomorrow\u2019s Boko Haram,\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n
President Buhari reiterated the importance of justice in the affairs of
\ngovernance, emphasizing that men and women in authority must show kindness
\nand justice to all the people under them.<\/p>\n
In commending the religious group for the profuse prayers they had
\nrendered for three days in Yola, Adamawa State for the recovery of the
\neconomy and peace in the country, the President said that the problem oil
\nproduction is currently experiencing in the country and in the global
\nmarkets had forced the imperative of agriculture on Nigerians.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are learning the hard way.\u00a0 The mistake we made was to abandon
\nagriculture.\u00a0 We came at a time of difficulty the country has never
\nexperienced since the civil war,” he said.<\/p>\n
President Buhari also requested the religious leaders to persuade
\nNigerians to embrace hard work, endurance and patience, assuring that the
\nadministration will not relent in the effort to achieve self-reliance and
\nsecurity for the nation.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Sheikh Sharif Mohammad commended President Buhari\u2019s sense
\nof justice and concern for the people of Nigeria.<\/p>\n
He assured the President that the Tijjaniya movement was in full support
