Rivers State Governor , has called on the Independent National Electoral
\nCommission ( INEC) to release the Rivers East\u00a0 Senatorial District and
\nRivers West Senatorial District\u00a0 untampered with, declaring\u00a0 that\u00a0 Peoples
\nDemocratic Party\u00a0 ( PDP ) candidates\u00a0 have already won both elections
\nbased on results from polling units .<\/p>\n
Governor Wike\u00a0 also called on INEC to immediately\u00a0 release the results of
\nAndoni \/Opobo-Nkoro Federal Constituency and Andoni State Constituency
\nalso won by the PDP.<\/p>\n
In an interactive session with journalists on Sunday , Governor Wike\u00a0 said
\nit has never happened\u00a0 in the history\u00a0 of\u00a0 elections that the Rivers East
\nSenatorial District result declaration\u00a0 exceeded\u00a0 24hours<\/p>\n
According to\u00a0 him , the result\u00a0 of\u00a0 Rivers East has been\u00a0 held down by the
\nplots of INEC , the Army and the Police\u00a0 to manipulate\u00a0 the results of
\nEmohua and Ikwerre Local Government Areas for the purpose\u00a0 of\u00a0 concocting
\nthe senatorial results in favour of the APC .<\/p>\n
He said: “As I speak with you, they are doing everything\u00a0 possible\u00a0 to
\nrewrite the result of Emohua Local Government Area to ensure\u00a0 that the APC
\nwins”.<\/p>\n
The governor\u00a0 said that since the conclusion\u00a0 of voting, INEC\u00a0 has been
\nplaying pranks, moving collation back and forth from Emohua to Port
\nHarcourt to create room for rigging.<\/p>\n
“For now, all the collation\u00a0 officers\u00a0 have refused to be compelled to
\ndeclare false results. As such, the collation\u00a0 officers have\u00a0 left and
\nINEC\u00a0 has resorted to using her internal\u00a0 staff for the collation\u00a0 of
\nresults.<\/p>\n
“Release Rivers East Senatorial District\u00a0 where Senator George Sekibo has
\nwon clearly .\u00a0 Release Rivers West Senatorial District\u00a0 where Senator
\nOsinakachukwu Ideozu has won clearly .\u00a0 INEC\u00a0 should\u00a0 release Andoni\/
\nOpobo-Nkoro Federal Constituency where Abiante has won and Andoni State
\nConstituency\u00a0 where Ikunyi Ibani has won clearly “, he said.<\/p>\n
He described\u00a0 as unfortunate\u00a0 the deliberate\u00a0 use of the Nigerian Army\u00a0 to
\ndeny PDP\u00a0 agents access to collation\u00a0 centres , so that INEC\u00a0 staff can
\nconcoct results.<\/p>\n
“It is\u00a0 most unfortunate\u00a0 that that they will\u00a0 descend to the level of win
\nat all costs”, he said .<\/p>\n
The governor\u00a0 reiterated\u00a0 his statement that the Nigerian Army and SARS
\npersonnel were deeply involved in the violence that characterised the
\nelections , pointing\u00a0 out\u00a0 that the violence claimed five lives in
\ndifferent parts of the State .<\/p>\n
He said that the half hearted denial of the military evaporates in the
\nface of overwhelming\u00a0 evidence\u00a0 of\u00a0 their misconduct\u00a0 during the polls.<\/p>\n
“When the security\u00a0 is apolitical , you have\u00a0 free and fair elections .
\nBut when the security\u00a0 descends into the arena, the entire process is
