A Pentecostal Bishop has declared that Nigeria is right now in the \u2018Sambisa<\/p>\n
forest\u2019, saying only the fittest persons can survive under the current
\nsituation in the country.<\/p>\n
Bishop Seun Adeoye of Sufficient Grace and Truth Ministry (SGTM), Rehoboth
\nArena, Okinni, Osun State in a statement on Monday, January 02, 2017 noted
\nthat there is no indication that the current hardship in the country will
\nbe abated in this year.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cWe all entered into the New Year with lots of expectation but
\nthere is no clear indication that things will be as smooth as we actually
\nanticipated. But, I pray it won\u2019t be worse.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were told by our soldiers that they have cleared Sambisa forest of Boko
\nHaram. That was cheerful news. But Nigeria is still in the Sambisa forest
\npolitically and economically. So, only the fittest can survive in this
\ncountry now.<\/p>\n
\u201cCorruption is still eating deep in the country and security of lives have
\nnot been adequately tackled going by the continuing slaughtering of
\nhundreds of people in Southern Kaduna and massacres of innocent souls from
\nother parts of the country<\/p>\n
\u201cPrices of essential goods keep on rising without respite. Yes, only the
\nfittest can survive. I am in doubt if any Nigeria can afford three square
\nmeals apart from those sitting on our commonwealth. Sadly, those at the
\nhelms of affairs only talked out our plights; nobody seems to be showing
\nany meaningful concern.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe should support our government. But I am bold to say that President
\nMuhammadu Buhari and his cabinet have not done enough to address many ills
\nof the society. To be candid, many of those holding offices today at the
\nfederal level do not deserve to be in those positions.<\/p>\n
\u201cWho then will free us from the Sambisa bondage? Surely, we need God\u2019s
\nintervention. So, Nigerians irrespective of their status must fervently
\npray and seek help from our Creator. Our government at all levels must also
\nstop playing politics with our lives\u201d, the cleric stated.<\/p>\n
Bishop Adeoye frowned at what he called injurious propaganda and deception
\nin the running of the nation\u2019s affairs just as he blamed most of the state
\ngovernors in the country of deliberately ignoring the cries of the masses
\nby denying them their rights.
\nHe advised Nigerians to firmly hold their destinies in their hand by
\nengaging in profitable ventures and also ensure that the nation leaders
