Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has berated the leaders of the<\/p>\n
APC in the state\u00a0 \u00a0for misinforming Acting President Yemi Osinbajo that
\nthey were holding an APC meeting in Port Harcourt, only for them to turn
\naround\u00a0 to pretend to hold a Niger Delta Stakeholders meeting.<\/p>\n
The governor lauded Vice President\u00a0 Yemi Osinbajo for setting the record
\nstraight\u00a0 when he proclaimed the APC slogan and explained\u00a0 that he was at
\nthe Tuesday event to meet his Rivers APC family.<\/p>\n
Addressing former\u00a0 \u00a0Ndoni APC\u00a0 Members led by Chief Ofili Enebeli after
\ntheir\u00a0 defection\u00a0 to PDP\u00a0 in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, the governor
\ndeclared that the successful official engagements\u00a0 of the Acting
\nPresident, Prof Yemi Osinbajo\u00a0 to Rivers\u00a0 State\u00a0 sent shivers down the
\nspine of political mischief makers spreading\u00a0 false stories\u00a0 about the
\nstate, hence they resorted to their usual\u00a0 desperate anti-Rivers politics.<\/p>\n
He said: “Satan will never sleep. Satan will always be at work. Satan
\nalways wants to turn light into darkness.<\/p>\n
“When we held the stakeholders\u00a0 meeting, even the Minister of
\nTransportation was there. But as you know, a\u00a0 chameleon will always\u00a0 be a
\nchameleon. When you see agents\u00a0 of Lucifer you will know.<\/p>\n
“Just because\u00a0 the Acting President slept in Rivers State and went round
\nour projects, then confirmed that this man is Mr Projects, they suddenly
\nbecame troubled “.<\/p>\n
He added: ” Agents of Lucifer\u00a0 in trying\u00a0 to\u00a0 cause confusion, persuaded
\nthe Acting President that there\u00a0 will be need for him to\u00a0 talk to APC
\nMembers.\u00a0 I have no problems with that. Mr Acting President\u00a0 is a member
\nof the APC.\u00a0 But governance is governance.\u00a0 When they got there, they
\nrenamed the APC\u00a0 meeting\u00a0 as stakeholders\u00a0 meeting. Shame , shame.<\/p>\n
“It was not Rivers Stakeholders meeting and it couldn\u2019t\u00a0 have been.\u00a0 ”<\/p>\n
The governor\u00a0 said that it was shocking that the Minister of
\nTransportation\u00a0 and his associates questioned\u00a0 the award of “Apostle of
\nPeace ” conferred on him by the Rivers CAN when they simply divided the
\nChristian Association of Nigeria\u00a0 (CAN) when they had the opportunity.\u00a0 He
\nexplained\u00a0 that he remains\u00a0 a\u00a0 man of peace who will never divide
\nfamilies.<\/p>\n
He noted that he is focused on the\u00a0 delivery\u00a0 of\u00a0 projects, as he has
\ntotally shocked\u00a0 the leaders of Rivers APC\u00a0 into oblivion.<\/p>\n
The governor\u00a0 said\u00a0 that he will continue\u00a0 to\u00a0 play mature politics,
\nunlike the era of Rotimi Amaechi when he repeatedly\u00a0 desecrated\u00a0 the
\noffice of the President, refusing\u00a0 to\u00a0 accord Goodluck Jonathan\u00a0 the
\nrespect due his office.<\/p>\n
He pointed out that he accorded the Acting President\u00a0 of Nigeria\u00a0 all the
\nrespect\u00a0 due to his office because the state believes governance
\ntranscends\u00a0 partisan\u00a0 politics.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah noted that the APC
\nleader of Ndoni, Chief Ofili Enebeli\u00a0 defected to the PDP\u00a0 because of the
\noutstanding performance of Governor Wike.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Chief Enebeli\u00a0 praised Governor Wike\u00a0 for his exemplary
\nleadership.<\/p>\n
Over 1000 APC\u00a0 members from Ndoni of the Ogba\/Egbema\/Ndoni LGA\u00a0 defected
