Ekiti State Governor and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party
\n(PDP) Governors\u2019 Forum, Mr Ayodele Fayose has condemned the arrest and
\ndetention of a former governorship aspirant of the party in Lagos
\nState, Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi, by operatives of Department of
\nState Security (DSS), describing the arrest and detention as a
\ncontinuation of the tyranny and barbarism of the All Progressives
\nCongress (APC) led government.<\/p>\n
The governor, who decried the unwarranted arrest of Nigerians for
\nmerely expressing themselves on social media, warned that \u201cnothing
\nmust happen to Mr Gbadamosi because up till today, the DSS has not
\ntold Nigerians why he (Gbadamosi) was arrested and being kept
\nincommunicado, without access to his wife and doctor.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nDSS must begin to act responsibly by desisting from treating Nigerians
\nas if the country was under military dictatorship, adding that; \u201cIt is
\nonly in a banana republic that someone will honour invitation of
\nsecurity agency, only for him to be bundled into any available plane
\nand moved from Lagos to Abuja without telling anyone what his offences
\nwere.\u201d<\/p>\n
