A former Chairman of the House \u2018of Representatives Committee on
\nAppropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, on Thursday, questioned President
\nMuhammadu Buhari\u2019s \u201cinaction\u201d following recent face-off between the Senate
\nand the executive.<\/p>\n
The Senate have twice rejected the President\u2019s nomination of Mr. Ibrahim
\nMagu as the substantive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes
\nCommission.<\/p>\n
The lawmakers have also put on hold the consideration of a letter from the
\nPresidency requesting legislative approval for the nomination of 27
\nResident Electoral Commissioners for the Independent National Electoral
\nCommission, insisting that the names will not be considered until the
\nPresident removed Magu as Acting Chairman of the EFCC.
\nIn series of tweets via his @AbdulAbmJ handle, Jibrin noted that President
\nBuhari\u2019s inaction recently painted a picture of him that was in contrast
\nwith that of the \u201cno nonsense [Army] General\u201d many Nigerians knew.<\/p>\n
He tweeted, \u201cHistory will be kind to PMB for his intergrity, building
\nopposition and ending insurgency but may never forgive him for his many
\ninactions (sic).<\/p>\n
\u201cPMB\u2019s inaction are so numerous that you are tempted to doubt if he is
\naware of his inactions and all the absurdity presently going on<\/p>\n
\u201cIs this the Muhammadu Buhari we know? the no nonsense general? Noooooo
\nsomething is wrong!\u00a0 if not, we would have seen more decisive actions<\/p>\n
\u201cCould it be PMB\u2019s access to information and current happening is
\nrestricted in an attempt to reduce his worries and help him fully recover?<\/p>\n
\u201cCould it be some powerful people are aware of this situation PMB may be
\nin and are taking advantage of it and\/or taking things for granted?<\/p>\n
