The Nigerian Military on Friday<\/span><\/span> gave reasons why the elusive Boko Haram
\nleader, Abubakar Shekau, has not been captured despite a huge manhunt and
\nthe capture of Camp Zero in Sambisa forest.<\/p>\n

The Director of Defence Information, Major Gen. John Eneche,\u00a0 who spoke at
\na press forum in Abuja, admitted that there was a mix-up on the
\ninformation about the capture or death of the Boko Haram leader because of
\nthe various faces used by Shekau.<\/p>\n

The Defence spokesman also said although the\u201d real Shekau\u201d has not been
\ncaptured, the military is on the hunt for him and would soon capture him.<\/p>\n

Eneche: \u201cThere were so many Shekau faces, that was what was responsible
\nfor that but we will get the real thing, we have now come to know that the
\nreal Shekau is yet to be apprehended, so that is the truth, when Osama Bin
\nLadin was killed, they went further to do a DNA test, that was what
\nhappened. The truth is because of so many faces of Shekau that came up,
\nthat was what brought up the mix up. But it is truth the real Shekau is
\nyet to be apprehended and we will get him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eneche also gave an account of military operations in Nigeria, saying the
\nNigerian military has done well.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Armed Forces of Nigeria has been able to decimate and degrade the
\nBoko Haram terrorists from their activities to splinter acts of terrorism
\nhere and there mostly within Borno State.\u00a0 Currently, clearance operation
\nis ongoing jointly by the Armed Forces to eliminate both active and
\npassive acts of terrorism in the North East.\u00a0 It is worthy of note that
\nsome countries such as Britain, United States and France among others
\nprovided one form of assistance to the military in our effort so far in
\nthe North East,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Eneche also said Operation SHARAN DAJI in the Northwest has been able to
\ncurtail the activities of cattle rustlers with many of them embracing the
