{"id":57125,"date":"2017-04-07T21:44:56","date_gmt":"2017-04-07T20:44:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=57125"},"modified":"2017-04-07T21:44:56","modified_gmt":"2017-04-07T20:44:56","slug":"fayose-blasts-sheriff-walkout","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/fayose-blasts-sheriff-walkout\/","title":{"rendered":"Fayose\u00a0blasts Sheriff over walkout"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<p>Governor of Ekiti State and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party<br \/>\n(PDP) Governors&#8217; Forum, Mr Ayodele Fayose has lambasted factional<br \/>\nchairman of the party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff for walking out on<br \/>\nparty leaders\u00a0<span class=\"m_-6262274734626482499gmail-aBn\"><span class=\"m_-6262274734626482499gmail-aQJ\"><span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1900307483\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Thursday<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0during a pre-reconciliation meeting held in<br \/>\nAbuja at the instance of the party leaders and elders, saying; \u201cIt is<br \/>\nnow obvious that he (Sheriff) is working for enemies of former<br \/>\nPresident Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The governor said; \u201cFrom what Ali Modu Sheriff did yesterday, it<br \/>\nshould now be clear to all well-meaning Nigerians that he is not<br \/>\nacting on his own. He is an agent of the ruling All Progressives<br \/>\nCongress (APC) and by extension an enemy of democracy in Nigeria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Firing back at Sheriff for his conduct, Governor Fayose, in a<br \/>\nstatement by his Chief Press Secretary, in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, said:<br \/>\n&#8220;The man Ali Modu Sheriff is an impostor, an impossible character,<br \/>\nagent of darkness and APC-sent to destroy our party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he cannot sit with the leader of our party, Dr Goodluck Jonathan,<br \/>\nI am also telling him that we in the PDP are also not interested in<br \/>\nholding any discussion with him. He is a virus that has infected the<br \/>\nPDP and by the grace of God, he will be cured permanently.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He grew up the black leg of every organisation. His flirting with<br \/>\nObasanjo\/PDP destroyed the All Peoples Party (APP) and ANPP. He is at<br \/>\nagain but this will be the last of the series. He is a serial plotter.<br \/>\nI regretted my association with him and bringing him forth.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I will not work with him. He is a betrayal of confidence and does not<br \/>\nrepresent peace and hope. I will not be part of any meeting with such<br \/>\na dirty desperado.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnybody supporting, promoting or financing him is an enemy of<br \/>\nNigeria.
