Immediate past Governor of Ekiti State and currently Minister of Mines and
\nSteel Development, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has said he was not prepared to
\nrespond to all the antics of\u00a0 Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, who
\nis his successor in office.<\/p>\n
Governor Fayose had last week alleged in various fora that the Minister
\nwas working with some justices of the Supreme Court to sack him via a
\nreview of the ruling of the apex court which upheld his election as
\ngovernor of the state.<\/p>\n
Dr Fayemi, however told journalists in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, on
\nSaturday that he would rather not comment on Mr Fayose nor his numerous
\nallegations.<\/p>\n
Fayemi who was approached by journalists in Ado Ekiti, when he paid a
\ncondolence visit to the Famuagun family over the death of their patriarch,
\nPa Festus Obafemi Famuagun, said he would rather concentrate on very
\nimportant matters than dignifying Fayose\u2019s antics with a response.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou know that I would never join issues with Governor Fayose. He is
\nentitled to his opinion and he is free to entertain himself, so let him
\ncontinue to entertain himself. At the appropriate time, he would meet his
\ncomeuppance\u201d Fayemi said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t belong in the mud, so he cannot drag me to the mud. Truth is
\nalways constant and I know posterity is there to judge.\u201d He added.<\/p>\n
On the demise of Pa Famuagun, father of his late deputy, Mrs Funmi
\nOlayinka; Dr Fayemi said Pa Famuagun\u2019s lived a good life and would be
\nmissed for his wise counsel and candour.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe thank God for Baba\u2019s life. He lived an exemplary life, we shall
\ncontinue to promote the values that he represented.\u201d, the Minister said,
\nurging the children of the deceased to be consoled by the good name their
