Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson has described the 21
\nstudents on state government scholarship to the prestigious Lincoln
\nUniversity in the United States as worthy Ambassadors and pride to the
\nstate and their families.<\/p>\n

The applause was contained in a congratulatory message by Dickson, sent to
\nthe students, who all graduated on Saturday May 12 2017, for making the
\nBayelsa State proud, having successfully concluded their studies in flying
\ncolours.<\/p>\n

Dickson expressed delight over one of the students, Perewari Victor Pere,
\nwho graduated with First Class Honours and the 20 others for their
\nacademic excellence.<\/p>\n

According to him, they have by their accomplishments, carved a niche for
\nthemselves and placed the name of Bayelsa State in the global map of
\nstates with exceptional and unique academic endowments.<\/p>\n

Dickson also used the opportunity to express his deepest appreciation to
\nthe management of Lincoln University for their understanding and
\ncooperation, despite the state\u2019s inability to remit the needed school fees
\nof the students, as at when they were due.<\/p>\n

He, however, assured them that, with $500, 000 US dollars already released
\nto them, concerted efforts were being made to pay up the balance within
\nthe shortest possible time.<\/p>\n

The governor stressed that, the government and the people of Bayelsa State
\nwould remain eternally grateful to the authorities of Lincoln University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
