{"id":58127,"date":"2017-06-16T15:09:26","date_gmt":"2017-06-16T14:09:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=58127"},"modified":"2017-06-16T15:13:28","modified_gmt":"2017-06-16T14:13:28","slug":"efcc-denies-accusing-saraki-false-assets-declaration-disowns-counsel-jacobs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/efcc-denies-accusing-saraki-false-assets-declaration-disowns-counsel-jacobs\/","title":{"rendered":"EFCC Denies \u00a0Accusing \u00a0Saraki Of False Assets Declaration, Disowns Its Counsel, Jacobs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has denied ever dragging Senate President, Bukola Saraki, before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, on account of the false declaration of assets.<\/p>\n<p>The denial was a sequel to the acquittal\u00a0of Saraki of the 18 count charges levelled against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau an arm of the Presidency<\/p>\n<p>But this contradicts what went down during the trial. The Code of Conduct Tribunal had admitted into evidence, a statement Saraki made before the EFCCin relation to corruption allegations against him.<\/p>\n<p>The EFCC\u2019s denial came after Human Rights Lawyer, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), mocked the EFCC, over Saraki\u2019s victory.<\/p>\n<p>Ozekhome had added: \u201cThrough your unresearched and myopic stance, the government has serially lost cases.
