Most columnists, writers and public<\/p>\n
commentators have shied away from doing so but today yours
\ntruly will treat a matter and pose a question that is in the
\nhearts and minds of many both within and outside Nigeria.<\/p>\n
The question is whether President
\nMuhammadu Buhari (remember him?) is actually dead or still
\nalive. And, assuming that he is still alive, is he lost to
\nthe world in a vegetative state and deep coma, is he
\nsuffering from an extreeme and crippling form of dementia or
\nis he lucid, functional, rational and clear-thinking?<\/p>\n
These are the relevant and poignant
\nquestions that many are seeking answers to yet this whole
\nmatter and everything that flows from it, for some strange
\nand inexplicable reason, is shrouded in the utmost secrecy
\nand subtefuge.<\/p>\n
The Presidency has told us that Buhari
\nhas travelled out of the country yet no-one has seen
\npictures or footage of him going out of Nigeria or arriving
\nin his preferred destination in a foreign land.<\/p>\n
Assuming that he really did travel out
\none wonders which country he was ferried to, whether
\nhe went there on his feet or on his back and whether he is
\npresently on admission in a hospital or resides in a private
\nor official residence.<\/p>\n
The Presidency claims that he is still
\nalive and we sincerely hope that this is the case.<\/p>\n
Yet many have their doubts simply
\nbecause it has been proved over and over again that the
\nFederal Government are nothing but a nest of vipers and a
\nbrood of pernicous and pathological liars.<\/p>\n
They lie as if there is no tomorrow and
\nconsequently few believe anything that they say including
\nthe assertion that the President is still alive or that he
\nis running the affairs of our nation from his sick bed in
\nthe United Kingdom.<\/p>\n
The truth is that if the Presidency or
\nthe Federal Government told us that it was day outside most
\nof us would be forced to assume that it was night.<\/p>\n
That is how skeptical the more
\ndiscerning amongst us are about what those in power tell us.
\nBetween the rulers and the ruled in
\nNigeria today there is no trust.<\/p>\n
Consequently we are under no
\nobligation, given their compulsive and sociopathic affinity
\nfor mendacities and deceit, to believe anything that the
\nBuhari admnistration or the Presidency tells us.<\/p>\n
The bottom line is this: if the
\nPresident is dead, stop playing games, tell us the truth,
\nbury him with dignity and let his soul rest in peace.<\/p>\n
If he is alive let us know exactly what
\nhas afflicted him, what his condition is, where he is, how
\nhe is doing and, most important of all, give us PROOF OF
\nLIFE.<\/p>\n
Anything short of treading one of these
\ntwo paths is not only dishonorable but also utterly
\nreprehensible and amounts to nothing less than a glaring and
\nsingular insult to the collective sensibilities of the
\nNigerian people. Simply put, we have a right to know the
\ntruth.<\/p>\n
The usage of lies, deceit, secrecy,
\nsubterfuge and disinformation in the administration of
\ngovernance coupled with the promotion of indiscipline, the
\nencouragement of impunity, the disobedience of court orders,
\nthe undermining of the rule of law, the destruction of
\ndemocratic institutions and the lack of fairness and justice
\nare the worst forms of corruption.<\/p>\n
Sadly this govermment, more than any
\nother in the history of our country, is guilty of each and
\neveryone of these grave charges. This is deeply troubling
\nand it gives us cause not only for concern but also deep
\nintrospection.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile we congratulate Acting
\nPresident Yemi Osinbajo for finally signing the 2017 budget.
\nEven though we are already half way through the year, as
\nthey say, it is better late than never.<\/p>\n
This is a step in the right direction
\nand it is worthy of applause and commendation. However what
\ncauses some consternation and beggars belief is the asinine
\nand childish assertion by Mr. Shehu Garbage of the
\nPresidency that President Buhari “gave his permission” for
\nthe Acting President to sign it.<\/p>\n
Honestly when I heard this contribution
\nI didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry. I was constrained
\nto ask when the Presidency had transformed from being
\nNigeria’s most powerful and exalted seat of power into a
\ntheater of comedy and a home for second rate comedians.<\/p>\n
These people will do and say anything
\nto hide or distort the truth and to humiliate and undermine
\nthe authority and standing of Acting President Osinbajo.<\/p>\n
And the fact that Osinbajo allows them
\nto get away with it is an eloquent testimony to his
\nnauseating weakness and inability to take control and
\nadminister power in the way that he is expected to do.<\/p>\n
After all we do not operate a
\nmonarchial system of government in Nigeria and Buhari is not
\na King. He does not have any “divine rights” and he is not a
\ndeity or a ruler with absolute powers.<\/p>\n
He is simply a democratically-elected
\nPresident who is bound by the rules and conventions of the
\nconstitution and who is meant to be nothing more than a
\nservant of the people.<\/p>\n
In this context the question that needs
\nto be answered is simple and clear and that question is as
\nfollows.<\/p>\n
Does an Acting President need the
\npermission of a sick, AWOL and bed-ridden President, who has
\nbeen compelled by his debilitating ill-health to formally
\nhand over power to his second-in-command as the constitution
\ndictates, to sign the budget? The answer is a resounding
\n“no”.<\/p>\n
This is especially so when we have been
\nintimated and informed by an exciteable, well-known and
\nrabidly pro-government and fanatically pro-APC online medium
\nknown as Saharareporters that the President is in a
\n“vegetative state” and that he “cannot speak to those around
\nhim or recognise his environment”.<\/p>\n
If the Presidents friends and
\nsupporters can write and publish such things about his
\nmedical condition what are the rest of us supposed to think
\nor believe?<\/p>\n
We have been assured by that medium
\nthat his situation is so critical that even his wife was
\nbarred from seeing him when she travelled all the way to the
\nUnited Kingdom to do so.<\/p>\n
If this is true (and up until the time
\nthat I am writing this contribution it has not been publicly
\nrefuted or denied) it raises some very serious questions and
\nthe first one of those questions is why the Presidency and
\nthe Federal Government deem it appropiate to hide the truth
\nfrom the Nigerian people?<\/p>\n
Yet it does not stop there. Mr. Eric
\nJoyce, the well-known British ex-military, ex-Member of
\nParliament and serving MI6 operative who has always had a
\nspecial interest in Nigeria and who has always been an
\nardent supporter and friend of the President and his
\ngovernment has come out boldly to suggest that Buhari is
\ndead and he has challenged the Nigerian people to ask the
\nPresidency for proof of life. His words:<\/p>\n
“For now, with no sight nor sound of
\nthe President and no proof even of life for some time, it
\nseems that in a bid to manage the succession the Presidency
\nmay be lying to the public about the Presidents health or
\neven life, and making Nigeria\u2019s democratic status a
\nmockery into the bargain”.<\/p>\n
If we choose to reject Joyce’s
\nsuggestion that Buhari is dead and instead we accept the
\nnarrative that he is still alive but bed-ridden and
\ncritically ill, the assertion that he is in a position to
\n“give permission” for the budget to be signed remains
\nequally childish and absurd.<\/p>\n
And the truth is that the Villa rats
\nthat made that astounding assertion are talking and behaving
\nlike second rate actors and low-level performers in an
\nX-rated, sleazy and seedy Parisian porn film and Swedish
\nblue movie.<\/p>\n
All you hear from them are animal-like
\ngrunts and groans and loud, fake orgasms.<\/p>\n
This is corpsocracy in its most
\nglaring, repugnant, primitive and repulsive form. It is a
\nsqualid and sordid attempt to impose a godless and alien
\nsystem of governance which can be best described as the
\n“rulership of the living by the dead” on the Nigerian
\npeople.<\/p>\n
Nigeria cannot be ruled from the grave.
\nShe cannot and must not be ruled by the dark and faceless
\nagents and sinister emissaries of a shrouded and embalmed
\nEgyptian-like entombed mummy or the surrogates of a corpse
\nthat is either stone-cold dead or is dead to to the world
\nand barely alive.<\/p>\n
We deserve far better than that and we
\nhave the right to be told the truth no matter how bitter
\nthat truth may be.<\/p>\n
The fact of the matter is that anyone
\nthat believes anything that this evil government tells them
\nis truly lost.<\/p>\n
The truth is that it was not Buhari
\nthat gave Osinbajo permission to sign the budget but rather
\nevil mafia and dark cabal that runs this country in his
\nname.<\/p>\n
If those that put that statement out
\nwere not utterly shameless how can they even say publicly
\nthat an Acting President who is more than capable of running
\nthe country has to wait for permission or for backing from a
\nsick President that no-one has seen or heard from in weeks
\nto sign a budget six months into the fiscal year.<\/p>\n
Clearly these people are drunk on power
\nand it has affected their ability to reason properly or
\nthink straight. Clearly Nigeria is in a precarious position
\nright now.<\/p>\n
Our government is a government of liars
\nwho are sustained by lies, who live by lies and who will die
\nby lies.<\/p>\n
Their spiritual foundation and the very
\nessence of their being is built on nothing but perfidy and
\nmendacity.<\/p>\n
Their souls are dark, their spirits are
\ncorrupt and their consciences are seared beyond redemption.
\nThe shedding of human blood is their
\ndelight, the sacrifice of the innocents is their pleasure
\nand the administration of disaster, hardship and misery is
\ntheir joy.<\/p>\n
They are nothing but sadists whose
\ndeclared intention is to keep us in bondage and rule for
\nanother “two hundred years”.<\/p>\n
And even as our people are dying of
\nhunger and being slaughtered on a daily basis by Fulani
\nherdsmen and Boko Haram they offer no apology for their
\nshameful and glaring incompetence and neither do they
\ndisplay any remorse for their inability to protect the
\npeople that they were elected to serve and defend.<\/p>\n
Instead of doing that all they do is
\njust tell us one lie after the other. For example when asked
\nabout Buhari’s medical condition the Minister of
\nInformation, Mr. Lai Mohammed, had the effontry and nerve to
\ntell Channels Television that<\/p>\n
“President Buhari is alive and well and
\nhe talks to Acting President Osinbajo every day!”<\/p>\n
If anyone believes that hogwash they
\nwill believe anything! And the minute Lai said it his
\nalready big, fat and oversized nose grew ten inches longer.
\nWhat a terrible plague and affliction
\nhas befallen our nation. That plague and affliction is known
\nas Muhammadu Buhari and his clandestine cabal of sinister
\nand byzantian tormentors.<\/p>\n
May God deliver Nigeria from their evil
