The conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has hailed the judgment
\nof the Supreme Court of Nigeria for conclusively bringing to an end the
\nleadership crisis that had almost brought a major opposition party, the
\nPeoples Democratic Party (PDP) to its knees.<\/p>\n
The umbrella body of all registered political parties and political
\nassociations in the country in a statement by its Secretary General, Chief
\nWilly Ezugwu congratulated the party for adhering to the principle of rule
\nof law in resolving the crisis.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe congratulate the PDP for the conclusion of its legal battle occasioned
\nby the polarization of the party. As an opposition political party and
\nmember of our association, the verdict of by the Supreme Court has again
\nstrengthened democracy in the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe victory for the PDP is a victory for democracy and all members of the
\nCNPP, which is the umbrella association of all political parties and
\ngroups in the Nigeria.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor us, the Supreme Court has established itself as the true last hope of
\nthe ordinary Nigerians and the highly placed in the society.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe enjoin all member associations and political parties to always adhere
\nto the principle of rule of law in the face of any such crisis as justice
\nmay be delayed but cannot be denied.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is now time for the PDP to put its house in other to contribute its
\nquota in the opposition politics for the deepening of democracy in
