A gathering of all the major political blocs in Ogun state at a
\nstakeholders meeting on Thursday, passed a vote of confidence on the
\nimmediate past \u00a0Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel with a charge
\nto lead them to victory, stating that they strongly believe that he
\npossesses all the required wherewithal.<\/p>\n
The meeting which was held at the Conference Hotel, Sagamu, had
\nrepresentatives of major gubernatorial hopefuls like Senator Olamilekan
\nSolomon (Yayi), Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI)
\nin attendance.<\/p>\n
Also in attendance were former Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Alhaja
\nSalmot Badru, former Speakers of Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.
\nTiti Oseni and Rt. Hon. Soyemi Coker, former members House of
\nRepresentatives, Hon. Jelili Kayode Amusan and Hon. Segun Osibote, Elder
\nAkinhanmi, several commissioners during the administration of Otunba
\nGbenga Daniel and political leaders cutting across political party
\ndivides.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the occasion, Otunba Gbenga Daniel called for unity of purpose
\nwhile urging the stakeholders to be focused and work towards a grand
\ncoalition and also avoid formation of splinter political parties that will
\nnot be strong enough to gain power in the coming political dispensation.
\nAccording to him, all hands must be deck and everybody must work hard to
\nbring back those that have left back to the fold and choose the best of
\ncandidates for the coming general election.<\/p>\n
The former governor also hinted that further consultations are ongoing
\nboth locally and nationally following the latest happenings in the polity
\nwhile urging everyone to be alert as a definite political direction will
\nsoon be taken.<\/p>\n
The leaders in attendance who spoke in turns unanimously agreed that there
\nshould be a rainbow coalition of a big united political family that will
\nbe strong enough to take out the incumbent government in the coming
