Former Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has lambasted renowned
\npolitical economist, Prof. Pat Utomi saying despite his national and
\ninternational connections he has not contributed anything to the
\ndevelopment of Delta state.<\/p>\n
He advised him to stop spreading falsehood against past leaders of the
\nstate in his quest to contest the 2019 governorship election on thel
\nplatform of the All Progressives Congress.<\/p>\n
Uduaghan, who berated Utomi at the Peoples Democratic Party\u2019s
\nstakeholders\u2019 meeting in Asaba, urged the former presidential candidate to
\ncontest the councillorship seat in his ward before taking a shot at the
\nnext governorship poll.<\/p>\n
It would be recalled that Utomi had during his visit to members of the APC
\nin Agbarha-Otor in Ughelli North, Delta State last week, accused previous
\ngovernments in the state, including that of Uduaghan, of mortgaging the
\nfuture of the state through excessive borrowing and funds diverted to
\nbuild personal properties abroad.<\/p>\n
Stressing that Utomi has nothing to offer the people of the state, the
\nformer governor pointed out that during his administration, he appointed
\nUtomi as chairman and member of several committees but that the latter
\nfailed to use such opportunities to contribute or attract development to
\nthe state.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou should ask Prof, where is the Silicon Valley? He took us to his
\nhometown at Ibusa for the foundation-laying ceremony of the Silicon
\nValley; to date, there is nothing to show that the project has commenced.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has contested the presidential election; he now wants to be a
\ngovernor. I think he should start from his ward; he should contest the
