{"id":59732,"date":"2017-09-27T23:37:29","date_gmt":"2017-09-27T22:37:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=59732"},"modified":"2017-09-27T23:37:29","modified_gmt":"2017-09-27T22:37:29","slug":"itse-sagay-apc-leaders-come-chop-politicians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/itse-sagay-apc-leaders-come-chop-politicians\/","title":{"rendered":"Itse Sagay To APC Leaders: You Are All Come And Chop Politicians"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, PACAC,<br \/>\nProf Itse Sagay SAN\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_2016270720\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Wednesday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0described leaders of the ruling All<br \/>\nProgressive Congress, APC, as \u2018\u2018come and chop\u2019\u2019 politicians.<\/p>\n<p>Sagay was responding to APC&#8217;s statement where he was called a &#8220;rogue<br \/>\nelephant&#8221; for describing the leadership of the party as weak and<br \/>\nunprincipled.<\/p>\n<p>The APC had stated that Sagay has no iota of respect for President<br \/>\nMuhammadu Buhari, adding that the political appointee indicted his boss by<br \/>\ndescribing the leadership of the ruling party as \u201cweak\u201d and<br \/>\n\u201cunprincipled\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji<br \/>\nAbdullahi, the party lamented that the senior advocate feels accountable<br \/>\nto only his ego, and is independent of everyone and every institution in<br \/>\nthe APC government.<\/p>\n<p>In his reaction, Sagay stated that the APC National Chairman, Chief John<br \/>\nOdigie-Oyegun and Abdullahi are destroying the party because of their<br \/>\nloyalty to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, reminding them that they<br \/>\nare national leaders of a ruling party because of Buhari.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement he posted online, the PACAC chairman pledged his loyalty to<br \/>\nthe President and Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, adding that the APC<br \/>\nhas continued to fail under the leadership of Oyegun.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sagay, \u201cI am an accomplished man long before any appointment.<br \/>\nI am not a \u2018\u2018come and chop\u2019\u2019 politician like you lot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy loyalty is to the President and not to the party which has continued<br \/>\nto fail under the leadership of Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo start with, I am not a \u2018come and chop\u2019 person as you are. I did not<br \/>\ncome to \u2018chop\u2019; so the party is not doing me a favour. You are the ones<br \/>\nthat have come to \u2018chop\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecondly, my criticism of APC is not against President Buhari who I think<br \/>\nis a man of great honour, integrity and whom I admire and who inspires me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI took this job because of Buhari and Osinbajo, who I admire greatly. The<br \/>\npeople I am referring to in my criticism are John Odigie-Oyegun and one<br \/>\nBolaji Abdullahi, who is (Senate President Bukola) Saraki\u2019s Man\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_2016270721\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Friday<\/span><\/span>.<br \/>\nThey are dining with the devil who wants to destroy the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are appeasers, who are acting the way (former) British Prime<br \/>\nMinister, Neville Chamberlain, appeased Adolf Hitler and in the process,<br \/>\nthey will destroy the party because they are weak and unable to confront<br \/>\nevil and they will end up helping that Hitler to destroy the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is APC without Buhari, Osinbajo and Tinubu?
