Youths in the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ekiti State, under
\nthe aegis of Ekiti APC Youths Congress (EAYC) have decried the
\nreported engagement of one Olasoji Akodu as the coordinator of the
\nsocial media team of President Muhammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n
The youths said in a press release issued in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday
\nthat they were shocked to read on social media yesterday, the
\nengagement of the said Akodu, whom they described as a stranger in the
\nAPC in the State as coordinator of the Buhari Media Centre.<\/p>\n
According to the press release jointly signed by Mr Tope Ogunkuade and
\nComrade Tunji Adeleye, EAYC Convener and Secretary respectively, it
\nwas an affront on youths in the party to be neglected for someone like
\nAkodu, who is a federal civil servant and his wife a civil servant in
\nEkiti State.<\/p>\n
They said those in charge of the Buhari Media Centre in Abuja should
\nhave contacted the State Publicity Secretary of APC, High Chief Taiwo
\nOlatunbosun for the nomination of a committed party member instead of
\nplacing a non-party member above youths who have labored day and
\nnight, promoting and defending the President on social media.<\/p>\n
The APC youths called on the State Publicity Secretary of the party to
\nwrite officially to the President to reject the engagement of Olasoji
\nAkodu as coordinator for the Buhari Media Centre and also vowed to
\nmobilise youths in the party to avoid working under him.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, it is our considered opinion that the likes of Orebe
\nSunday Kola, Olufemi Aduloju, Otunba Adeleye Akintola, Barrister
\nAdeoye Aribasoye and Ayodeji Ogunleye Miliki are better suited as
\nEkiti State coordinator of the Buhari Media Centre, not someone like
\nOlasoji Akodu, a federal civil servant whose commitment to the
\nBuhari\u2019s project we are not sure of.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
