{"id":61232,"date":"2018-03-20T18:51:38","date_gmt":"2018-03-20T17:51:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=61232"},"modified":"2018-03-20T18:51:38","modified_gmt":"2018-03-20T17:51:38","slug":"reveal-the-running-costs-for-buhari-osinbajo-ministers-others-okupe-dares-sagay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/reveal-the-running-costs-for-buhari-osinbajo-ministers-others-okupe-dares-sagay\/","title":{"rendered":"Reveal the running costs for Buhari, Osinbajo, ministers, Others, Okupe dares Sagay"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"adn ads\" data-message-id=\"162446dabd9a88a5\" data-legacy-message-id=\"162446dabd9a88a5\">\n<div class=\"gs\">\n<div id=\":2t\" class=\"ii gt \">\n<div id=\":2s\" class=\"a3s aXjCH m162446dabd9a88a5\">\n<p>Former presidential spokesman, Dr. Doyin Okupe, has challenged the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Anti-Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay, to carry out his threat to reveal details of the running costs of the principal officers of the National Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, added that Sagay should also include that of President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, ministers, special advisers to the President, and other top government functionaries, including himself.<\/p>\n<p>Okupe, in a statement\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" data-term=\"goog_1513947929\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Tuesday<\/span><\/span>, also said failure by Sagay to give correct figures of the running costs of all top members of the Buhari government and the leadership of the federal parliament\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" data-term=\"goog_1513947930\"><span class=\"aQJ\">within 24 hours<\/span><\/span>\u00a0will affect his credibility.<\/p>\n<p>Okupe said, \u201cI find the threat by Professor Sagay on allowances and running costs of the leadership of the National Assembly very interesting. It will aid our fight for transparency in public affairs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, he should not be selective. For us to take him seriously, he should include details of the running cost of the office of the President, Vice President, mnisters, special advisers, heads of government agencies, parastatals and even himself.
