The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has taken a swipe at the Lagos State
\nGovernor Mr Akinwunmi Ambode over the invitation extended to President
\nBuhari to come and commission a newly built bus park in the state on
\nThursday.<\/p>\n
Speaking to newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday, Prince Adelaja Adeoye, the
\nspokesman for the party said, “it’s rather low on the part of Governor
\nAmbode to invite the President to commission a ‘mere bus park’ and that
\ndeclaring a public holiday for such is rather wasteful and unnecessary.”<\/p>\n
ADP said, they will take over the reign of Lagos in 2019 and invite their
\nown President to come and commission laudable projects that will have a
\ndirect impact on the lives of Lagosians. The party maintained that locking
\ndown the state over a Presidential visit is pathetic and a sign of
\ndesperation to promote a party that has lost all of its goodwill. The
\nparty says that, this same APC led government in Lagos vilified former
\nPresident Goodluck Jonathan for doing same during the last dispensation.<\/p>\n
The Party says that it’s preposterous to shut down economic activities in
\nthe State because of a Presidential visit that will not add value to the
\nlives of residents. The ADP says that Lagos should be a shinning light for
\nall others in terms of leadership and infrastructural development and not
\nthis joke of commissioning bus stops.<\/p>\n
ADP also reminded President Buhari that it would have been a thing of
\nhonor for him if he had not stopped the rail system conceived by the
\nformer Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande when he brutality
\nseized power via a military coup and that this bus park is of no
\nconsequence.<\/p>\n
ADP says that it is time for Lagosians to rise and demand accountability
\nfrom those that lead them. The party argues that with the massive revenue
\nbeen generated in Lagos, the state should be competing with some world
\nrenowned economies, and that the average Lagosian should feel the impact
\nof governance through the redistribution of wealth.<\/p>\n
ADP has charged Lagosians to get ready for real development that will
\nchange their lives for good. The party says that they will present a more
\nqualified candidate for the 2019 election.<\/p>\n
