{"id":61476,"date":"2018-04-03T01:11:46","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T00:11:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=61476"},"modified":"2018-04-03T01:11:46","modified_gmt":"2018-04-03T00:11:46","slug":"pdp-mantu-never-rigged-elections-for-us-but-for-himself","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/pdp-mantu-never-rigged-elections-for-us-but-for-himself\/","title":{"rendered":"PDP: Mantu Never Rigged Elections For Us but For Himself"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\">The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed the advice by the All<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Progressives Congress (APC) to learn from former Senate President,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Senator Ibrahim Mantu&#8217;s claims on how he rigged elections.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Sunday, said Senator Mantus reported claims was personal to him and has<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">nothing to do with the PDP, as the party has never directed any of its<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">members to rig election on its behalf, at any point since its formation.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Senator Mantu spoke about his personal activities and tendencies in the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">elections where he participated. The PDP has never directed or had any<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">pact with him to rig election on its behalf. Never!<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Individuals run their elections on the platform of political parties<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">once they emerge as candidates. In the PDP, candidates are issued with<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">the partys Code of Conduct containing the basic rules of electioneering<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">engagements.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">There is nowhere in this rules of engagement where candidates or party<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">members are directed to rig elections on behalf of the party.
