Sponsored by Guaranty Trust<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Bank plc, they are on the verge of making history at the globally renowned<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Conrad Challenge Annual Innovation Summit in Florida, USA.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Aged between 12 and 14, Mordi Menashi, Gbemi Famobiwo, Afolabi Williams<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">and Osagumwenro Ugbo, all from Whitesands School Lagos and known together<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">as Team Neon, created a VirtualFarm Application which helps farmers manage<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">their farm and connect with their target markets. With its innovation, the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">team entered the Conrad Challenge, which encourages high school students<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">to develop cutting-edge solutions to real-world problems in the areas of<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Aviation, Cyber Technology, Environment and Health, amongst others.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Competing in the \u2018Smoke-Free World\u2019 category, Nigeria\u2019s Team Neon made it<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">to the final stage of the competition, which will be held during the 2018<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Spirit of Innovation Summit at the Kennedy Space Centre, from the 25th to<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">28th April, 2018. \u201cImproving extension services in rural Africa is a<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">critical step for any agricultural change and Team Neon makes a good case<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">for how the VirtualFarm technology will work,\u201d said the Judges of the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Challenge. This is the first time that African farmers will have access to<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">the package, which has a range of technical advice, [and] with the USSD<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">version of the app, it would be a win-win for the team.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Inspired by the team\u2019s outstanding young talents and driven by its passion<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">for innovation, leading African bank, Guaranty Trust Bank plc, is<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">sponsoring the young innovators to the finale of the Conrad Challenge.
