{"id":61957,"date":"2018-04-27T15:52:29","date_gmt":"2018-04-27T14:52:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=61957"},"modified":"2018-04-27T15:52:29","modified_gmt":"2018-04-27T14:52:29","slug":"2019-you-are-deceiving-yourself-pdp-tells-buhari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/2019-you-are-deceiving-yourself-pdp-tells-buhari\/","title":{"rendered":"2019: You Are Deceiving Yourself, PDP Tells Buhari"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lampoons President Muhammadu Buhari<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">as suffering from self-deception to think he can win the 2019<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Presidential election, in spite of his abysmal performance and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">widespread rejection by Nigerians.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">It is indeed unfortunate and characteristic of failed leaders that<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">President Buhari cannot read the clear handwriting on the wall, even as<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">demonstrated by the scanty attendance at his Bauchi rally on Thursday,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">where he boasted about winning the 2019 elections.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">We know that the President and his handlers are banking on manipulating<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">the electoral processes to foist themselves back to power by depending<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">on their blood relation in the Independent National Electoral Commission<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">(INEC) to assist in providing data of underage voters in Katsina, Kano<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">states and some other porous areas of the nation.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">What President Buhari has failed to come to terms with is the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">uncompromising resolve of Nigerians across the country, particularly the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">youths, to resist any form of rigging in 2019.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">It is shocking that on the face of colossal failure of governance<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">leading to hunger and starvation, ethnic division, bloodletting and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">killings in our land, Mr. President is more concerned about a selfish<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">agenda of foisting himself on a people who have become despondent of his<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">leadership.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">By his remark in Bauchi on Thursday, when he boastfully claimed that he<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">will take power again in 2019, Mr. President has demonstrated an<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">unimaginable disdain for Nigerians, showing that he cares less about the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">carnage in our nation under his watch, and he is only concerned with<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">winning election. That, to say the least, is a mark of statesmanship.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">This is a leader who came into office on the plank of promises of<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">fighting insurgency and corruption as well as guaranteeing economic<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">prosperity. Shockingly, Mr. President has not only failed on all fronts,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">his body language is aiding and abetting corruption, harassment and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">intimidation of citizens as well as instilling of siege mentality in our<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">land.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">We therefore advise Mr. President and his dysfunctional All Progressives<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Congress (APC) to stop misleading themselves about the possibility of<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">staying a day beyond May 29, 2019, as they can no longer deceive or<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">coerce Nigerians to submission.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">On our own part, the repositioned PDP will continue to stand with the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Nigerian people and remain sensitive to their plights, particularly, at<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">this critical time.
