The animosity between Chief of staff to President Mohammadu Buhari, Alhaji<\/div>\n
Abba Kyari and Transport Minister, Mr. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi is<\/div>\n
threatening to tear down the Presidential campaign of the All Progressive<\/div>\n
Congress, APC, Pointblanknews.com has been informed.<\/div>\n

Power, influence and control of the campaign structures ahead of the 2019<\/div>\n
Presidential election has become a major cause the supremacy struggle<\/div>\n
between the President’s Chief of Staff and the former Rivers Governor.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Recall that In spite of his abysmal performance, President Buhari had<\/div>\n
announced his bid for a second term in 2019, naming Amaechi as the<\/div>\n
Director General of The Buhari 2019 Presidential Campaign organization.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The unilateral decision did not go down well with the Cabals in Aso Rock<\/div>\n
presidential villa which headed by Buhari’s Chief of Staff,Abba Kyari.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Kyari, it is no longer a secret, is leading a cabal in the villa who is<\/div>\n
bent on ensuring that Amaechi’s influence in the Campaign Organization is<\/div>\n
cut to sizes while he infiltrates and make decisions.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Sources told Pointblanknews.com that the Chief of Staff wants sensitive<\/div>\n
and powerful positions in the Buhari Campaign Organization reserved<\/div>\n
exclusively for people of the Northern extraction particularly, the North<\/div>\n
West geopolitical region.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Sources told pointblanknews.com that Kyari is particularly angered that<\/div>\n
Buhari has chosen “a flippant character” who is already one of the<\/div>\n
characters in the administration who have dealt a heavy blow on the image<\/div>\n
and social standing of the President.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Pointblanknews.com recalls that Amaechi has been accused of wasting the<\/div>\n
resources of his home Rivers state when he presided over as its Governor<\/div>\n
from 2007 to 2015 in addition to making some appointments in his ministry<\/div>\n
which are meant to be done by the President. One the cases normally cites<\/div>\n
is that of Dakuku Peter who was announced as the head of Nigerian Maritime<\/div>\n
Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Our basic checks indicate that Kyari believes the choice of Amaechi is an<\/div>\n
abomination as well a dirty slap across the face of the North where Buhari<\/div>\n
drew his cult supporters till he started mismanaging the country and<\/div>\n
hunger and drug abuse pervaded the area.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
With Ameachi in the saddle, Kyari is of the opinion that Buhari will<\/div>\n
become a bad candidate to sell to several areas especially in the North<\/div>\n
Central, South-South and South-East who have suffered unimaginable<\/div>\n
deprivations and a sense of abandonment by the regime. This, according to<\/div>\n
Aso Rock Sources, will wreck the President’s chances at the 2019 poll.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He has therefore enlisted the chieftain of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu<\/div>\n
whose major role so far as the second term is concerned is to ensure that<\/div>\n
adequate bad blood is generated between Buhari and Amaechi.<\/div>\n

Amaechi, in the first place is viewed by the cabal as a newcomer into the<\/div>\n
APC and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) umbrella who is yet to<\/div>\n
satisfactorily purge himself of the regional aggression against Buhari.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cKyari has used security agents in the villa to cut down on Amaechi\u2019s<\/div>\n
access to Buhari in what is considered a strategy to whittle down his<\/div>\n
influence\u201d, one of our sources emphasized.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Pointblanknews.com reliably gathered that Buhari who sees Amaechi as a<\/div>\n
major contributor to his 2015 campaign is trying to pay back the former<\/div>\n
Rivers governor by having him head his re election campaign from where he<\/div>\n
can recoup.<\/div>\n

But the Cabals in the Presidency feel Buhari has already done enough for<\/div>\n
the former Rivers Governor by appointing him into a grade A Ministry where<\/div>\n
he has unflinching control of juicy agencies such as the Nigeria Maritime<\/div>\n
Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA.<\/div>\n

\u201cAs it stands, Kyari wants to control the Buhari\u2019s 2019 Campaign<\/div>\n
Organization and plant men who he believe are better equipped to manage<\/div>\n
the presidents re-election bid.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cSeveral efforts made by Buhari to reconcile both men have yielded little<\/div>\n
or no result. It remains to be seen how the issues would be laid to rest<\/div>\n
ahead of the APC convention and the 2019 Presidential elections. But I can<\/div>\n
predict that, in the end, Kyari will triumph over and whittle down<\/div>\n
Amaechi’s marginal influence\u201d, pointblanknews.com was told.<\/div>\n

It appears the gang up against Amaechi has started yielding fruits. In an<\/div>\n
interview with Vanguard Newspaper, Hon. Ernest Irieka, former member of<\/div>\n
the House of Representatives and Zonal Executive Council member of APC in<\/div>\n
the South-South has warned the former Governor to respect elders and never<\/div>\n
try to play God in the scheme of political affairs.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cLet Amaechi not arrogate to himself the leadership of the party in the<\/div>\n
South-South because he does not have it. What have we achieved in Rivers<\/div>\n
with all the money there? Nothing. So he needs to talk to people not to go<\/div>\n
and interfere in other states. Look at the crisis in Rivers APC, we think<\/div>\n
he should sit down and sort it out by carrying others along; that is the<\/div>\n
only way we can win elections there\u201d, he vehemently insisted.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He concluded by sounding a mote of warning: \u201cSo Amaechi is not the<\/div>\n
determining factor in the South-South, he only took a gambit and it worked<\/div>\n
out for him. So he should allow other people to take the same gambit and<\/div>\n
not be a dictator. And, above all, he should sit with other leaders of the<\/div>\n
party to strategize\u201d.<\/div>\n
