The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has told President Muhammadu Buhari
\nthat his quest for re-election, if permitted by Nigerians, after a
\nhorrible first term, will further divide and impoverish Nigerians.<\/p>\n

President Buhari’s first term score card showed anti-people policies and
\nfailure to serve the good of the ordinary citizens, contrary to what he
\nwould want Nigerians to believe when he spoke at the All Progressives
\nCongress (APC) ward congress in Daura, Katsina state\u00a0on Saturday<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

It is unfortunate that the same President, who, in an interview with
\nVoice of America (VOA) last week, could not present any agenda to
\njustify his re-election bid, is attempting to sway Nigerians with
\ncosmetic patriotism.<\/p>\n

What President Buhari\u2019s handlers fail to understand is that Nigerians,
\nbeing direct victims of his misrule, are aware that the harsh and
\nreckless policies of his incompetent administration, coupled with his
\nbody language, are expressly responsible for the untold economic
\nhardship, ethnic division and daily bloodletting currently ravaging our
\nnation.<\/p>\n

If, indeed, the President was out to serve, as he claimed at the APC
\ncongress, we challenge him to show any of his 2015 campaign promises he
\nhas fulfilled or any development project initiated and implemented to
\nthe benefit of the people in the last three years.<\/p>\n

President Buhari\u2019s second term agenda is directly a quest to continue to
\nenrich the Presidency cabal, promote nepotism and protect cronies and
\ncorrupt members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the long
\narms of the law.<\/p>\n

President Buhari’s second term is also a quest to continue to ignore and
\ndestroy democratic principles; to continue trampling on the rights of
\ncitizens and persecution of opposition and perceived political
\nopponents; to continue the derailing of democracy with manifest disdain
\nfor constitutional order; to continue with the intimidation and
\nharassment of the legislature and the judiciary; perpetuation of
\nmediocrity in governance; de-marketing Nigeria at international fora and
\nto blame everyone else but himself for manifest incapacity to govern.<\/p>\n

Nigerians know that the agenda is being pushed by members of the
\nPresidency cabal, who are desperate to protect huge economic empires and
\nto cover their atrocities in government.<\/p>\n

Nigerians do not need clairvoyants and psychics to know that another
\nterm for the President will lead to decimation of the middle class,
\nover-taxation of the poor, the complete erosion of freedom and secret
\nfight against free enterprise.<\/p>\n

It will surely lead to the complete destruction of our economy, our
\ndemocracy and most importantly the unity of our nation.<\/p>\n

On our part, the repositioned PDP stands with Nigerians in the
\nunwavering determination to rescue our nation and restore democratic
\norder. Our platform therefore remains open for all citizens to rally
\nirrespective of creed, ethnicity and class to produce that selfless and
\ntruly Nigerian President that has the interest of all at heart.<\/p>\n
