elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC)<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">to sack schoolteachers and other workers after the 2019 general<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">election.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The PDP is horrified by the revelation by Kaduna State governor, Nasir<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">el-Rufai, on Thursday, that governors elected on the platform of APC,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">particularly from the northern states, had been in a secret plot to sack<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">schoolteachers in their states after using them to win elections.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">It is more disheartening to know from Governor el-Rufai, as widely<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">reported in the media,\u00a0 that President Muhammadu Buhari even supported<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">the implementation of this treacherous policy in his state,\u00a0 while at<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">the same time,\u00a0 parading himself before Nigerians as pro-people and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">seeking to be re-elected.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The PDP rejects in its totality this plot by the APC governors to<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">victimize the schoolteachers or cause any worker at any level to suffer.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">This atrocious scheme against our citizens has further portrayed the APC<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">and its leaders as explicitly wicked and anti-people group that have no<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">modicum of goodwill towards Nigerians, but delight in seeing Nigerians<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">suffer, as evinced in the Presidency\u2019s refusal to address the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">devastating nation-wide strike action by health workers.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">This is a party whose incompetence and anti-people administration<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">plunged our country into extreme poverty and worst form of hunger and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">starvation in the last three years, and now their governors are in a<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">wicked plot to sack innocent schoolteachers; the same Nigerians they<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">used to ascend to power in 2015.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">This is a party and administration that have failed to fulfill the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">littlest of their 2015 campaign promises, but has rather introduced<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">harsh economic policies that are directly responsible for the collapse<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">of the nation\u2019s economy, dearth of foreign investments, closure of<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">businesses with over 25 million job losses and attendant pressure on<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">families and living standards.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">It is thus totally inexcusable that instead of seeking ways to create<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">wealth and better the lives of Nigerians, as was the hallmark of the PDP<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">in our 16 years in office, the irredeemably wicked APC is rather<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">thinking of ways to further pauperize the people, while their officials<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">continue to fritter billions of naira through sleazes in the NNPC,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Presidential Initiatives for<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">the North East (PINE) and other government agencies.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">We, therefore urge all Nigerians to rise and resist this murderous plot<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">by rallying on the platform of repositioned PDP to push out the APC in<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">2019 and return our nation to the path of wealth creation,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">all-inclusiveness and economic empowerment, for which the PDP is known.<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced
