The Nigeria Police Force has said two more suspected armed robbers<\/div>\n
arrested in connection with the high-casualty attack on banks in Offa,<\/div>\n
kwara State, in April, have implicated Senate President Bukola Saraki in<\/div>\n
their confessional statements.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Force Public Relations officer, Jimoh Moshood, who said this in Abuja on<\/div>\n
Wednesday while addressing journalists, said the Senate President is still<\/div>\n
under investigations for the Offa Robbery.<\/div>\n

UPDATE OF POLICE INVESTIGATION INTO THE INDICTMENT OF SENATE PRESIDENT,<\/div>\n
FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, SEN. BUKOLA SARAKI FROM CONFESSIONS OF FIVE<\/div>\n
(5) GANG LEADERS ARRESTED FOR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN THE OFFA BANKS<\/div>\n
ROBBERY AND GRUESOME KILLING OF MORE THAN THIRTY THREE (33) INNOCENT<\/div>\n
PERSONS INCLUDING PREGNANT WOMEN AND NINE (9) POLICE OFFICERS ON 5th<\/div>\n
APRIL, 2018, IN OFFA, KWARA STATE.<\/div>\n

\u201cNigeria Police Force have arrested two (2) out of the three (3) suspects<\/div>\n
mentioned by the Overall Gang Leader of Offa Bank Robbery Ayoade<\/div>\n
Akinnibosun a.k.a AY during parade of suspects on 3\/6\/2018<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cSenate President, Sen. Bukola saraki is still under investigation in<\/div>\n
connection with the Offa Bank Robbery<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cIt will be recalled that on 3rd June, 2018, I paraded before the Media<\/div>\n
and the Public Fifteen (15) suspects, (Five \u20185\u2019 Gang Leaders and Ten \u201810\u2019<\/div>\n
principal Suspects) who admitted, confessed and volunteered statements to<\/div>\n
the Police Investigation Team on the active criminal roles they played in<\/div>\n
the Bank Robbery of Six (6) Commercial Banks, attack on Divisional Police<\/div>\n
Headquarters, Offa and the killing of Thirty Three (33) innocent persons.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cThese five (5) gang leaders confessed to the Police as follows:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cAyoade Akinnibosun a.k.a AY \u2018M\u2019 37Yrs \u2013 Gang Leader From Oro, Irepodun<\/div>\n
LGA, Kwara State. Confessed to have coordinated the Bank Robbery and the<\/div>\n
killing of Thirty Three (33) innocent persons during the bank robbery.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cIbukunle Ogunleye \u2018M\u2019 36Yrs \u2013 Gang Leader from Oro, Irepodun LGA, Kwara<\/div>\n
State, confessed to have killed Two (2) Persons during the bank robbery.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cAdeola Abraham \u2018M\u2019 35Yrs \u2013 Gang Leader from Oro, Irepodun LGA, Kwara<\/div>\n
State. Confessed to have killed Five (5) Persons during the bank robbery.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cSalawudeen Azeez \u2018M\u2019 49Yrs \u2013 Gang Leader from Oro, Irepodun LGA, Kwara<\/div>\n
State. Confessed to have killed Two (2) Persons during the bank robbery.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cNiyi Ogundiran \u2018M\u2019 37Yrs \u2013 Gang Leader from Oro, Irepodun LGA, Kwara<\/div>\n
State. Confessed to have killed Two (2) Persons during the bank robbery.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cThe other Seventeen (17) suspects volunteered confessional statements<\/div>\n
admitting their active participation in the Offa bank robbery; they also<\/div>\n
corroborated the confessions of the five (5) principal suspects mentioned<\/div>\n
in paragraph two (2) above.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cDuring the parade, the main gang leader, Ayoade Akinnibosun a.k.a AY \u2018M\u2019<\/div>\n
37Yrs, mentioned three (3) other suspected vicious and notorious political<\/div>\n
thugs and in possession of Firearms, ammunition and other dangerous<\/div>\n
weapons working according to him for the Senate President, Sen. Bukola<\/div>\n
Saraki in the Kwara central Senatorial District, namely Alhaji Kehinde<\/div>\n
Gobiri aka Captain, Alhaji Oba Shuaib Olododo aka Jawando and Alhaji Dona.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cTwo (2) of these suspects namely Alhaji Kehinde Gobiri aka Captain<\/div>\n
\u201847yrs\u2019 Native of Ilorin East LGA Kwara State and Alhaji Oba Shuaib<\/div>\n
Olododo aka Jawando \u201853yrs\u2019 Native of Ilorin South, Kwara State are now in<\/div>\n
Police custody and have admitted to various crimes and criminalities they<\/div>\n
have committed in Kwara Central Senatorial District under the guise of<\/div>\n
political thuggery for the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki. They are<\/div>\n
currently under investigation and will be charged to court on completion<\/div>\n
of investigation.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cConsequent upon all the above and the confessions of the Five (5) gang<\/div>\n
leaders namely; Ayoade Akinnibosun, Ibukunle Ogunleye, Adeola Abraham,<\/div>\n
Salawudeen Azeez, Niyi Ogundiran and some of the other Seventeen (17)<\/div>\n
suspects arrested for direct involvement and active participation in the<\/div>\n
Offa Bank Robbery and the gruesome killing of THIRTY THREE (33) innocent<\/div>\n
persons admitted and volunteered statements that they were political thugs<\/div>\n
of the Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Bukola Saraki<\/div>\n
and the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alh. Abdulfatah Ahmed. The Five<\/div>\n
(5) gang leaders further confessed during investigation that they are<\/div>\n
political thugs under the name Youth Liberation Movement a.k.a \u201cGood Boys\u201d<\/div>\n
admitted and confessed to have been sponsored with firearms, money and<\/div>\n
operational vehicles by the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki and the<\/div>\n
Governor of Kwara State, Alh. Abdulfatah Ahmed. These confessions were<\/div>\n
made before the media and the public on the 3rd of June, 2018. It is<\/div>\n
therefore, evidently clear that the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki<\/div>\n
has case to answer.<\/div>\n

\u201cIt was also discovered during further investigations that three (3) gang<\/div>\n
leaders who participated actively in the Offa Bank Robbery (i) Ayoade<\/div>\n
Akinnibosun aka AY (ii) Ibukunle Ogunleye aka Arrow and (iii) Adeola<\/div>\n
Abraham followed the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki to Oloffa\u2019s<\/div>\n
Palace when the Senate President paid a condolence visit to Offa after the<\/div>\n
Bank Robbery.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cNew revelations from further investigation into the matter show that all<\/div>\n
the five (5) gang leaders namely; Ayoade Akinnibosun, Ibukunle Ogunleye,<\/div>\n
Adeola Abraham, Salawudeen Azeez, Niyi Ogundiran have direct connection to<\/div>\n
the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki as new pictures of one of the<\/div>\n
five (5) gang leaders when paraded by the Police early in the week was in<\/div>\n
\u2018Aso Ebi\u2019 (trouser) used during the Senate President daughter\u2019s wedding.<\/div>\n
The Five (5) gang leaders further admitted that they attended the Senate<\/div>\n
President daughter\u2019s wedding held recently.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cThe Nigeria Police Force will not be cowed or succumb to intimidation<\/div>\n
from any quarter in carrying out a thorough and discreet investigation<\/div>\n
into the Offa Bank Robbery where significant successes have been recorded.<\/div>\n
The ongoing investigation will be driven to a logical conclusion.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cMeanwhile, the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki is still under<\/div>\n
investigation in connection to the Offa bank Robbery and the Nigeria<\/div>\n
Police Force will do everything possible within the ambit of the law to<\/div>\n
