{"id":62924,"date":"2018-07-11T17:39:29","date_gmt":"2018-07-11T16:39:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=62924"},"modified":"2018-07-11T17:39:29","modified_gmt":"2018-07-11T16:39:29","slug":"atiku-says-buharis-govt-most-corrupt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/atiku-says-buharis-govt-most-corrupt\/","title":{"rendered":"Atiku Says Buhari&#8217;s Govt Most Corrupt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)<br \/>\npresidential aspirant, says the Muhammadu Buhari administration is the<br \/>\nmost corrupt of the five governments that have ruled since the country&#8217;s<br \/>\nreturn to democracy in 1999.<\/p>\n<p>The former Vice President made this assertion\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_295313586\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Tuesday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in Abakaliki<br \/>\nwhile addressing the crowd at his campaign rally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is happening today in our country is in contravention with all our<br \/>\nprovisions of our constitution. In our federation, we are supposed to have<br \/>\nan inclusive government but you know that this Federal Government is not<br \/>\ninclusive,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You know that this Federal Government is not united; you know that this<br \/>\nFederal Government is incompetent; you know that this Federal Government<br \/>\nis more corrupt than any government we have come through since 1999.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, let nobody come and deceive you on corruption; they are more corrupt<br \/>\nthan any government that I know since 1999 and we shall be revealing their<br \/>\nlevel of corruption. Fighting corruption alone is not the only<br \/>\nresponsibility of government.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our unemployment has accelerated high and there has never a time we had<br \/>\nmore than 11 million people, young people, young women, thrown out of job.<br \/>\nToday, we have more than 11 million unemployed people. Today, we have<br \/>\nwitnessed much insecurity in this country. Today, we are witnessing high<br \/>\ninflation the APC government has brought to us in this country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also expressed his confidence that the newly formed coalition of<br \/>\npolitical parties would vote Buhari out of office in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201c<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_295313587\"><span class=\"aQJ\">On Tuesday<\/span><\/span>, 40 political parties came together to meet<br \/>\nthemselves to present one candidate for presidential election. The<br \/>\ncoalition is going to have one candidate for presidential election, one<br \/>\ncandidate for governor, one candidate for senator, one candidate for House<br \/>\nof Reps, one candidate for House of Assembly, one candidate for party<br \/>\nchairman.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We need this alliance because what I have seen in the last three years is<br \/>\nwhat I have not seen in the last 35 years in this country. Therefore, we<br \/>\nare determined, we are united and we are ready to make sure that in the<br \/>\nnext election whether state or national or federal, we will kick out APC<br \/>\nin every state in this country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have never experienced the level of poverty we are facing today. They<br \/>\nare selling crude oil around $70 per barrel; when we came in 1999 it was<br \/>\naround $10 per barrel. I want to assure you that your party is ready to<br \/>\ntake that power but we can only do so through your support and your unity<br \/>\nof purpose.
