The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) welcomes Sokoto state Governor Aminu
\nWaziri Tambuwal back to its fold.<\/p>\n
The party, in the same vein, welcomes the Kano State Deputy Governor,
\nProf. Hafizu Abubakar\u00a0 and all other returning and new members of the
\nparty.<\/p>\n
The party describes Governor Tambuwal\u2019s decision as courageous,
\npatriotic and shows him as a statesman, who puts the interest of the
\nnation above all.<\/p>\n
In welcoming Governor Tambuwal, the PDP notes that he had continued to
\nconduct his activities in strict adherence to\u00a0 democratic principles
\nboth as former Speaker of the House of Representatives and executive
\ngovernor of Sokoto state.<\/p>\n
The party therefore has no doubts that Governor Tambuwal will indeed
\ncontribute immensely towards the rebuilding of our dear nation on the
\nplatform of the PDP.<\/p>\n
The PDP states that the return of Governor Tambuwal, Senate President
\nBukola Saraki, Benue state Governor Samuel Ortom, Kwara state Governor
\nAbdulfatah Ahmed and\u00a0 Kano State Deputy Governor, Prof. Hafizu Abubakar
\nin addition to scores of federal legislators to the party, reflects the
\nwishes and aspirations of Nigerians across board, who are now resurging
\nto the repositioned PDP as the only vehicle to rescue our nation from
\nthe mis-governance of the APC.<\/p>\n
Indeed, the patriotic action of these leaders and their supporters has
\ngiven Nigerians a renewed hope of returning our nation to the path of
\nnational cohesion, peace and economic prosperity that has eluded her in
\nthe last three years of the incompetent administration of President
\nMuhammadu Buhari and the dysfunctional All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n
The PDP notes that the coming weeks will witness the influx of more APC
\ngovernors, federal legislators, other elected and appointed officials at
\nvery high levels, into the repositioned PDP.<\/p>\n
Finally, the party reassures all new and returning members of adequate
\naccommodation in line with the principles of internal democracy being
\nstrictly adhered to by the rebranded PDP.<\/p>\n
