Detectives investigating the embattled former Director General of the
\nDepartment of State Security, DSS, Mr. Lawal Musa Daura, have found a
\nwhooping N21billion, loaded Guns, including sub-machine weapons such as
\nUzzi and huge amount of Permanent Voters Card, PVC, at his guest house in
\nUsama Street, Abuja.<\/p>\n
Sources hinted that the eye popping discoveries were made following tip
\noffs from operatives who had close relationship with the Daura while he
\nheld sway at the agency.<\/p>\n
A source privy to the matter alleged that no fewer than 400 assault
\nrifles, including other small arms weapons and thousands of PVCs belonging
\nto Niger Republic immigrants, were also found in the house.<\/p>\n
The Sacked DSS DG is alleged to be engaged in dealings involving $21
\nmillion handed over to him by his predecessor, Mr. Ita Ekpenyong.<\/p>\n
\u201cDaura is also facing interrogation over alleged withdrawal of N12.9
\nbillion from Pension Account of the DSS. He was further alleged to have
\nwithdrawn the sum of N1.6 billion from the N2.4 billion account belonging
\nto the DSS Staff Insurance account by a relation of Daura,\u201d the source
\nnoted.<\/p>\n
All efforts to confirm the story from top sources proved abortive, as no
\none was willing to volunteer information on the startling discovery at the
\nhome of the former DSS boss.<\/p>\n
