A presidential aspirant of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele
\nSowore, says the All Progressives Congress (APC) does not deserve a
\nre-election in the 2019 general elections.<\/p>\n
He also took a swipe at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing it
\nas dead.<\/p>\n
The presidential aspirant made the comments on Wednesday when he made an
\nappearance on Channels Television\u2019s Politics Today.<\/p>\n
On whether or not the APC will win with a larger margin as the party
\nrecently claimed, Sowore said, \u201cNo, I don\u2019t think so.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think they are confident in a wrong way. It\u2019s not confidence, it\u2019s
\narrogance and it\u2019s the same kind of arrogance that the PDP had prior to
\nthe 2015 election and the rest as we see today, is history\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cAPC is towing the same path, they are confident because of what they did
\nin Ekiti and got away with, but they should not forget that the PDP did
\nthe same thing in Ekiti in 2014 and thought they got away with it but lost
\nthe general election in 2015.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no reason they should be confident, their performance across
\nboard has been terrible, they haven\u2019t done anything to deserve a
\nre-election.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn fact, they have not done anything to remain as a political party in
\nNigeria. The party has been a disaster,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n
Speaking of the PDP, Sowore said the party\u2019s coalition with over 30 other
\nparties was a desperate move to save itself from dying.
\nAccording to him, the party failed in its 16-year rule and is now making
\nall efforts to revive its image to Nigerians.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe reason why PDP is desperate is because the party is dead and about to
\nbury itself.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ll bury themselves by way of performance, by their very disastrous
\n16-year rule in Nigeria.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe PDP was trying very hard to change their name because their name is
\nso bad that they know nobody wants to listen to them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Sowore also challenged President Muhammadu Buhari as well as other
\naspirants to a debate.<\/p>\n
He said young and new presidential aspirants should be given the audience
\nand the opportunity to challenge older aspirants.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you want to be more serious, you should be bringing these presidential
\ncandidates to debate us. Buhari should be brought out. The media should
\nforce them out of their hiding. Let them come and debate the future of
\nNigeria,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
