Saturday September 8 was to feature a nationwide congress<br \/>\nto elect delegates to the national convention (presidential); Saturday<br \/>\nSeptember 19 for national convention to elect the party\u2019s presidential<br \/>\ncandidate and for House of Representatives candidates; Thursday September<br \/>\n20 to pick senatorial candidates; Monday September 24 to pick governorship<br \/>\ncandidates and Saturday September 29 for House of Assembly candidates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease be advised that our party has scheduled to hold its congresses and<br \/>\nprimary elections for the nomination of candidates in respect of the 2019<br \/>\nelection,\u201d Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the party, had written<br \/>\nin the letter, dated August 17.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis serves as a formal notification pursuant to the provisions of<br \/>\nsection 85 of the electoral act 2010 as amended. Kindly arrange your<br \/>\nofficials to monitor the exercise accordingly. While hoping to receive<br \/>\nyour cooperation, please accept the assurances of my highest esteem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The letter was leaked to the media, and the APC believes it was INEC<br \/>\nrather than the party behind the act.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur attention has been drawn to a leaked letter the National Chairman of<br \/>\nthe All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole wrote to the<br \/>\nChairman, Independent National Electoral Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu<br \/>\ninforming the Commission of the schedule of the Congresses and Primaries<br \/>\nto elect Party candidates for the 2019 General Elections,\u201d Yekini Nabena,<br \/>\nits acting National Publicity Secretary, said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese leaks of our sensitive and confidential correspondence to INEC is<br \/>\nbecoming commonplace and totally unacceptable.
