Former Nigeria\u2019s vice president, Atiku Abubakar has been elected the
\npresidential candidate of the People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP).<\/p>\n
Incumbent President Mohammadu Buhari had clinched the All Progressive
\nCongress, APC, Presidential ticket after receiving over 14million votes<\/p>\n
At a PDP national convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, held on
\nSaturday and Sunday, Abubakar Atiku defeated 11 other aspirants to clinch
\nthe hotly-contested ticket.<\/p>\n
His victory now sets him against the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari
\nin the 2019 general election.<\/p>\n
