National Assembly, Hon Jagaba Adams Jagaba has called on the people of
\nSouthern Kaduna to ignore rummours that he has left the Peoples Democratic
\nParty (PDP).<\/p>\n

Jagaba, in a statement he personally signed, said the insinuations that he
\nhas left the PDP should be taken as lies from the pit of hell being
\nbandied by merchants of mischief.<\/p>\n

“Permit me to, at this juncture, assure my supporters and indeed, all
\nmembers of our great party \u2013 the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) \u2013 that I
\nremain committed to the ideals of the party,” Jagaba said assuring his
\nsupporters that PDP is home.<\/p>\n

“Therefore, with my campaign team which is still intact, we shall work
\nassiduously for the success of the party and our candidates at all levels
\nto emerge victorious in the forthcoming 2019 general elections. I enjoin
\nall and sundry to close ranks in this regard,” he said.<\/p>\n

Jagaba who congratulated the winner of the Kaduna South Senatorial
\ndistrict primary election, Sen Danjuma La\u2019ah, added that together they
\nwill work to defeat the APC led government.<\/p>\n

“Any insinuation therefore, from any quarters, that I have defected, or
\nhave the intention of defecting from PDP, is to be taken as lies from the
\npit of hell being bandied by merchants of mischief, and accordingly,
\nshould be discountenanced,” Jagaba insisted.<\/p>\n

He said the primary elections for the Kaduna South Senatorial District in
\nthe early hours of October 3, 2018 at Kafanchan in which he was an
\naspirant, and fully participated, was a party affair haven congratulated
\nthe winner.<\/p>\n

“At the end of the exercise, the result was in favour of Sen Danjuma Tella
\nLaah, for whom majority of the delegates voted. I conceded defeat and
\nimmediately congratulated him. The primaries having come and gone, I would
\nlike to thank very immensely, my campaign team which ran one of the most
\nvibrant, cohesive, pragmatic, resilient and issues based campaigns in the
\nhistory of the Senatorial District.”<\/p>\n

“My teeming supporters who conducted themselves with candour and dignity
\nall through the campaigns are most wonderful and I salute their courage,
\nmaturity and doggedness,” the statement added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Hon Adedoyin Will Be Sorely Missed, Speaker Dogara Says, As House Adjourns
\nSitting In Honour Of Late Member<\/p>\n

As the House of Representatives adjourns plenary in honour of the late Hon
\nFunke Adedoyin, who passed on recently, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, has said
\nthat she will be sorely missed by her colleagues.<\/p>\n

The speaker said she was a committed member of the House who was dedicated
\nand contributed immensely to committee assignments, debates in plenary and
\nother legislative issues.<\/p>\n

He prayed that God will grant her soul eternal rest and give her family
\nthe fortitude to bear the loss.<\/p>\n

Hon Dogara said, \u201cWe had to adjourn the Sitting in order to mourn the
\npassing of our sister and colleague, Hon. Funke Adedoyin. She was a
\nwonderful person, as some of you journalists would attest, who was
\ncontributed immensely in the proceedings of the House of Representatives.
\nShe was a committed member on the floor of the House when health
\nchallenges permitted. She was a very cerebral contributor, a very
\neffective politician in debates and issues in the house and I cannot be
\nmore proud to have had her as a colleague and as a member of the House of
\nRepresentatives.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will sorely miss her. At this point in time, our thoughts and prayers
\nare with her immediate family for God to give them the fortitude to bear
\nthis irreparable loss and may her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

The House held special prayer in her honour and adjourned sitting to
\nWednesday October 10, 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
