President Muhammadu Buhari, Friday, in Abuja, reaffirmed that his<\/div>\n
\n
\n

administration will sustain the delivery of quality infrastructure across
\nthe country for investments and businesses to thrive.<\/p>\n

Receiving representatives of Trade Associations from the 36 states and the
\nFCT led by the National Coordinator, Prince Paul Ikonne, President Buhari
\npledged that he will continue to do his best to ensure that the country is
\nsafe and secure for everybody.<\/p>\n

The President welcomed the group\u2019s appreciation of government\u2019s efforts in
\nproviding and improving critical infrastructure, especially roads and
\nrailways, to ensure ease in movement of goods and services.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2018These efforts are part of our campaign slogans on security, the economy
\nand the fight against corruption; and on security, it is common-sense that
\nunless the country is secured it cannot be governed.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2018The best people to comment on the achievements of this administration in
\nterms of security are people who come from the North East where they used
\nto share their local governments with Boko Haram, get ambushed and
\ndispossessed.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2018Today, we are all witnesses to the commendable efforts of government on
\nsecurity,\u2019\u2019 the President said.<\/p>\n

President Buhari also took note of some major observations by the traders
\nincluding illegal seizure of good by agents of governments, harmonisation
\nof taxes and charges, and the need for timely completion of rail networks
\nconnecting \u2018\u2018South to North, North to the East and East to the West.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

In his remarks, Ikonne praised the Buhari administration for instituting
\npolicies that are friendly and encouraging to traders, artisans and
\nfarmers.<\/p>\n

The National Coordinator declared the Association\u2019s support for the fight
\nagainst corruption, saying \u2018\u2018Mr, President, we must applaud your courage
\nto fight corruption which is restoring Nigeria\u2019s reputation within and
\noutside the country. This, indeed, is an outstanding achievement and we
\nare proud of you.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
