\nPresident of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has stated that the
\nendorsement of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s candidate, Alhaji
\nAtiku Abubakar, by the leadership of the very well known and respected
\nvoices of Nigeria’s ethnic nationalities, is an incontrovertible
\nvalidation of the results of the scientific polls by the London Economist
\nintelligence Unit and the William and Associate team.<\/p>\n

Saraki, who is the Director-General of the PDP Presidential Campaign
\nCouncil, also described the results of the scientific polls, as the true
\nreflections of the wish of the electorate.<\/p>\n

He said with the latest developments, Nigerians have taken a position that
\nthe false claim of integrity and anti corruption by President Muhammadu
\nBuhari is nothing but an election gimmick.<\/p>\n

He further stated that the three major pillars – economy, security, and
\nanti corruption –\u00a0 which Buhari hinged the campaign for his reelection on,
\nhave collapsed totally in the face of realities on the ground.<\/p>\n

“The economy has been thoroughly mismanaged. Insecurity has become more
\nwidespread and beyond their control while the government encourages and
\nnurtures corruption from within”, he stated.<\/p>\n

He also expressed confidence that Atiku would win the election in a free
\nand fair contest based on the scientific forecasts by the two groups and
\nthe evident massive nationwide support for Atiku by Nigrrian electorate.<\/p>\n

Saraki urged Nigerians to take a cue from the gale of endorsements and
\npredictions by credible groups in favour of Atiku and vote wisely.<\/p>\n

“The endorsements are like tonic to the work of the campaign organisations
\nto intensify our efforts as it is a testament that we are employing the
\nright approach and techniques to market our candidate to Nigerians.<\/p>\n

“We have been able to change the narratives. We have debunked a lot of
\nlies and rumours being peddled around against our candidate and Nigerians
\nare now better informed.<\/p>\n

“Leaders of the ruling party knows that they could no longer deceive
\nNigerians because we have allowed the people to know that they are all
\npretenders with their claim of integrity and anti-corruption posture.<\/p>\n

“The fact that Nigerians expressed favourable opinions while\u00a0 credible
\nprivate agencies were conducting their research showed that Alhaji Atiku
\nAbubakar, will defeat the incumbent, President Buhari, next week
\nSaturday”, the Senate President stated.<\/p>\n

It will be recalled that five socio-political organisations spread across
\nall the geo-political zones in the country namely, the Northern Elders
\nForum, Pan-Niger Delta Forum, Middle Belt Forum, Ohaneze Ndigbo and the
\nAfenifere had on Sunday endorsed Atiku Abubakar.<\/p>\n

The leaders who spoke on behalf of their groups were, Prof. Ango
\nAbdullahi, Chief Edwin Clark, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Chief John Nwodo and Mr.
\nBitrus Pogu. They urged Nigerians to vote for Atiku because he would bring
\nthe desired change to the country.<\/p>\n

Before the endorsements, a field work conducted by the Pollster, Williams
\nand Associates, revealed that Atiku will defeat President Muhammadu Buhari
\nin the February 16 presidential election<\/p>\n

The agency had, in a similar field work in 2015, predicted the defeat of
\nPresident Goodluck Jonathan in the last presidential election, using same
\nmethodology it employed now.<\/p>\n

Similarly, a forecast by the Economist Intelligence Unit in Africa, has
\nrevealed that Buhari will be defeated by Atiku in next week’s presidential
\npoll.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
