Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has revealed that the Central
\nBank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor and the Chairman of Economic and Financial
\nCrimes Commission (EFCC) have directed Managing Directors of Banks to deny
\nRivers State cash during the weeks of 2019 Election.<\/p>\n

Governor Wike said that he received the information on the illegal cash
\nstrangulation of the Rivers State\u00a0 by few Bank Managing Directors who
\nattended the meeting with the CBN Governor\u00a0 and EFCC.<\/p>\n

Addressing thousands of supporters during the PDP Campaign Rally at
\nOgu\/Bolo Local Government Area on Tuesday, Governor Wike said this
\nunconstitutional initiative by the APC Federal Government will fail
\nwoefully.<\/p>\n

He said: “The CBN Governor and the\u00a0 EFCC Chairman invited the Managing
\nDirectors of Banks and told them to deny Rivers State\u00a0 cash during the
\nelections.\u00a0 They told them to strangulate Rivers State.<\/p>\n

“We have passed that stage. Nobody can gag us. Before now, we prepared for
\nthe elections.\u00a0 They should not bother, because\u00a0 we are ready”.<\/p>\n

The governor said rather than cry over the insistence of the international
\ncommunity that the APC Federal Government should conduct credible polls,
\nPresident Muhammadu Buhari should emulate Former President Goodluck
\nJonathan who organised free and fair elections and lost.<\/p>\n

“In 2015, the APC went to the International Community and got their
\nsupport. They supported them and the PDP lost.<\/p>\n

‘Today, the APC Federal Government is crying because the international
\ncommunity is insisting on credible polls.<\/p>\n

“President Muhammadu Buhari should conduct credible polls and earn
\ninternational respect. Buhari should emulate Former President Goodluck
\nJonathan.\u00a0 He should not rig with security agencies because it will not
\nwork”, he said.<\/p>\n

The governor declared that PDP is ready for the forthcoming general
\nelections as the party is preferred by Rivers people and has a history of
\nresounding electoral victories.<\/p>\n

“PDP is ready for elections in 2019. We have won all previous elections
\nin the state.\u00a0 In 2015, they claimed we won because of Jonathan.\u00a0 But we
\nwon all the rerun elections under Buhari administration, except the ones
\nthey snatched illegally.<\/p>\n

“If not for their planned\u00a0 reliance on security agencies, nobody will
\ncollect\u00a0 APC nomination forms. There is no imprint\u00a0 of APC anywhere in
\nRivers State “, he said.<\/p>\n

He charged the people of the area to vote for Atiku Abubakar and other PDP
\ncandidates.<\/p>\n

The governor announced that he will start the electrification of the area.
\nHe stated that during his second term, his first project would be\u00a0 to
\nconnect Wakama to Ogu by road.<\/p>\n

Governor Wike\u00a0 urged the people to remain faithful\u00a0 to the PDP because it
\nis the only party that considers the welfare and development of the
\npeople.<\/p>\n

Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah\u00a0 thanked the Ogu\/Bolo\u00a0 people
\nwholeheartedly supporting Rivers State Governor and other PDP candidates.
\nHe presented the PDP Candidate for Rivers East Senatorial District ,
\nSenator George Sekibo, PDP Candidate for Okrika\/Ogu\/Bolo Federal
\nConstituency, Bright Gogo and PDP\u00a0 Candidate\u00a0 for Ogu\/Bolo\u00a0 State
\nConstituency, Evans Bipi\u00a0 to the people and asked them to vote for them\u00a0 .<\/p>\n

PDP Candidate for Rivers East Senatorial District, Senator George Sekibo
\nsaid that the people of the area will always support Governor Wike.<\/p>\n

He said that the people have no choice than to support Governor Wike for
\nthe several projects in the area, especially the reconstruction of
\nGovernment Secondary School, Ogu. He said that the construction of the
\nschool removed shame from his eyes.<\/p>\n

PDP\u00a0 Candidate\u00a0 for Ogu\/Bolo\u00a0 State Constituency, Evans Bipi said the area
\nis purely for the PDP.\u00a0 He said that nobody can steal the votes of
\nOgu\/Bolo people.<\/p>\n

He said that PDP has no rival in the area. He said that the people will
\ncontinue to support Governor Wike.<\/p>\n

Chairman of Ogu\/Bolo Local Government Area, Navy Captain Erasmus Victor
\n(Rtd) , urged the people to vote for the PDP because that is the way to
\nsustain development.<\/p>\n

Director General of Rivers State PDP Campaign Council, Ambassador Desmond
\nAkawor said Ogo\/Bolo people are now part of the movement of progress as
\nthey are fully in support\u00a0 of Governor Wike.<\/p>\n

He said that\u00a0 the Ogu\/Bolo land by their mass mobilisation\u00a0 have shown
\nthey are committed to stopping\u00a0 the wind of destruction represented by the
\nAPC.<\/p>\n

Former Commissioner\u00a0 and Rivers State Abuja Liaison Officer, Hon Vincent
\nNemieboka said that the people will deliver the area to the PDP because of
\nthe achievements of Governor Wike<\/p>\n

Chairman of PDP in Ogu\/Bolo Local Government Area , Engr Arnold Davids
\nsaid that the Local Government Area is the heartbeat of PDP in the state .
\nHe assured that all PDP\u00a0 candidates will win their respective elections<\/p>\n

The remaining APC members in the area defected\u00a0 to the PDP and declared
\ntheir support for the\u00a0 re-election\u00a0 of Governor Wike.<\/p>\n

Former Leader of Ogu\/Bolo\u00a0 APC, Mr Tamuno Jonah said his defection is home
\ncoming and aimed to consolidate the re-election process for the Rivers
