The Police Service Commission has approved the removal of Edgar Imohimi,
\nas the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, following recommendation by the
\nacting Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
\nMu\u2019azu Zubairu is expected to take over as the new Police Commissioner in
\nthe state.<\/p>\n
Mr Kayode Egbetokun, a former chief security officer has also been
\ndeployed to Lagos as Police\u00a0 CP.<\/p>\n
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Head, Press and Public
\nRelations of the Police Service Commission, Ikechukwu Ani.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, new appointments and redeployment were done
\nacross all 36 states of the country and the FCT.<\/p>\n
The Commissioners and their new states includes: Buba Sanusi, Katsina
\nState; Mohammed Wakili, Kano State; Rabiu Ladodo, Jigawa State; Ahmed
\nIliyasu, Ogun State; Mu\u2019azu Zubairu, Lagos State; Ibrahim Sabo, Niger
\nState; Alkassam Sanusi, Taraba State; Garba M. Mukaddas, Adamawa State;
\nOmololu Bishi, Benue State; Bola Longe, Nassarawa State; Isaac Akinmoyede,
\nPlateau State and Odumosu Hakeem, Edo State.<\/p>\n
Others are: Olushola David, Bayelsa State; Adeleke Yinka, Delta State;
\nAustin Iwero Agbonlahor, Cross Rivers State; Bashir Makama, Akwa Ibom
\nState; Awosola Awotunde, Ebonyi State; Belel Usman, Rivers State; Bello
\nMakwashi, Gombe State; Abdulrahman Ahmed, Kaduna State; Suleiman Balarabe,
\nEnugu State; Dandaura Mustapha, Anambra State and Etim Ene Okon, Abia
\nstate;<\/p>\n
Also, Bala Ciroma, FCT; Egbetokun Kayode, Kwara State; Hakeem Busari, Kogi
\nState; Asuquo Amba, Ekiti state; Galadanchi Dasuki, Imo State; Ibrahim
\nKaoje, Sokoto state; Celestine Okoye, Zamfara State; Garba Danjuma, Kebbi
\nState; Abiodun Ige, Osun State; Undie Adie, Ondo State; Olukolu Shina, Oyo
\nState; Ali Janga, Bauchi State; Damian Chukwu, Bornu State and Sumonu
\nAbdulmalik, Yobe State.<\/p>\n
The Commissioners are expected to proceed immediately to their new
\nCommands ahead of the 2019 General Elections.<\/p>\n
The Chairman of the Commission, Alhaji Musiliu Smith, charged them to
\nquickly settle at their new posts and ensure that the forth-coming general
\nelections in their various commands are peaceful, free, fair and
\ntransparent.<\/p>\n
He added that the nation cannot afford any disruption of elections
\nanywhere especially as the world looks up to Nigeria for a proof that its
\ndemocracy has continued to mature.<\/p>\n
