The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organization (PPCO)
\nsays the unprecedented crowd and overwhelming support for the people\u2019s
\ncandidate, Atiku Abubakar, by Nigerians, at the PDP Presidential
\ncampaign rally in Kano, has clearly shown that President Muhammadu
\nBuhari has lost the support of the North West.<\/p>\n

Kola Ologbondiyan, Spokesman of the PDP said “The mammoth crowd that
\nembraced Atiku Abubakar in Kano has finally awakened President Buhari to
\nthe stark reality that he has lost it all in Kano state.<\/p>\n

“The spontaneous jubilation by Nigerians across the entire Kano state, in
\nreceiving Atiku Abubakar, reinforces their rejection of President Buhari
\nfor impoverishing the people with his incompetence as well as endorsing
\ncorruption in the state.<\/p>\n

“The people of Kano state are in alignment with other states of the
\nfederation, particularly in the north, in rejecting President Buhari for
\nhis manifest aloofness and insensitivity to the welfare of the poor,
\nwhile his close relations and cabal at his Presidency live in arrogant
\nopulence.<\/p>\n

“President Buhari\u2019s rejection is also a clear statement by the people of
\nKano State, that his public approval of the corruption activities of
\nKano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, who was recently exposed in
\nseries of video allegedly collecting bribe in foreign currency from
\ncontractors, is unwelcomed.<\/p>\n

“That President Buhari could publicly raise the hand of Governor Ganduje
\nat a recent rally was an unpardonable affront to the people of Kano, who
\nhave a long history of standing against corruption.<\/p>\n

“Also, the surging of the people of Kano in receiving Atiku Abubakar is a
\nfurther demonstration of their anger against President Buhari\u2019s panicky
\nmeasure of importing mercenaries from Niger Republic into the state to
\npopulate his recent campaign rally, instead of addressing issues.<\/p>\n

“The complete rejection of President Buhari in the face of the soaring
\nacceptance of Atiku Abubakar across the country, particularly in the
\nNorth West states of Kano, Sokoto, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kebbi, Zamfara and
\nKatsina, which were hitherto considered as President Buhari\u2019s
\nstronghold, has clearly displayed that President Buhari and his
\ndysfunctional All Progressives Congress (APC) have come to the end of
\nthe road.<\/p>\n

“This explains why the Buhari Presidency and the APC are desperate to
\nmanipulate and rig the February 16 Presidential elections.<\/p>\n

“The PDP therefore charges Nigerians to politically occupy on the day of
\nelection and use all legitimate measure to protect their votes in the
\noverall quest to rescue our nation from President Buhari\u2019s misrule and
\nreturn it to the path of national cohesion and economic prosperity under
\nthe leadership of Atiku Abubakar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
