Over Hundred Thousand Rivers people from the 23 Local Government Areas of
\nthe state on Monday formally declared their endorsement of\u00a0 PDP
\nPresidential Candidate, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to lead
\nNigeria out of the woods.<\/p>\n

The Rivers People who took over the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port
\nHarcourt and its environs displayed\u00a0 several PDP Campaign promotional
\nmaterials, sang pro-Atiku and Pro-Wike songs to emphasise\u00a0 their
\npreference .<\/p>\n

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike assured that Rivers people will
\nvote for Atiku Abubakar.\u00a0 He said Rivers people believe in the capacity of
\nAtiku Abubakar to develop the country.<\/p>\n

Governor Wike said that PDP represents the light the country is craving
\nfor, while APC is neck deep in darkness.<\/p>\n

“APC is darkness and PDP is light. APC is dictatorship and PDP means
\nfreedom. Rivers people have chosen to vote light and freedom, hence all
\nour votes are for the PDP. Rivers State is Atikulated”.<\/p>\n

Former Rivers State Governor, Sir Celestine Omehia said the\u00a0 choice of
\nAtiku Abubakar as PDP Presidential Candidate is divine. He said God has
\nchosen Atiku Abubakar to solve the problems of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah said that Rivers people will
\nvote 100 percent for Atiku Abubakar.<\/p>\n

He said\u00a0 that rally is a rehearsal for the victory party after the
\nelection of Atiku Abubakar as the President\u00a0 of the country.<\/p>\n

PDP Presidential Candidate and Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, in
\nhis address, assured that his incoming administration will address the
\ninfrastructural needs of Rivers State and the South-South.<\/p>\n

He announced that the Ports in Rivers State will be revived for the
\npurpose of job creation, economic growth and the massive development of
\nthe state.<\/p>\n

The PDP Presidential Candidate noted that the incoming administration
\nwill complete the East-West Road started by the Obasanjo\/Atiku
\nadministration, but abandoned by the failed APC Federal Government.<\/p>\n

“APC has not done anything for Rivers State, South-South and\u00a0 the Niger
\nDelta”.<\/p>\n

Atiku Abubakar vowed to protect the constitution, saying he will uphold
\nthe rule of law, separation of powers and checks and balances.<\/p>\n

“I will protect the constitution. I will not interfere with the National
\nAssembly because I believe in the Separation of Powers.\u00a0 I will not
\ninterfere with the judiciary because I believe in checks and balances.\u00a0 I
\nwill uphold the rule of law “, he said.<\/p>\n

He condemned\u00a0 President Muhammadu Buhari for preaching violence in Zamfara
\nState.<\/p>\n

“We are not going to allow anyone to knock our heads and make us fight in
\nthis country. We want peace, we want development, we want jobs. We are not
\nready to fight ourselves\u00a0 again.\u00a0 Any leader who has come to instigate to
\nfight, we will use our ballot papers to throw them out. Buhari must go “,
\nhe said.<\/p>\n

Atiku Abubakar described\u00a0 Governor Wike as a true leader and devoted
\npolitician who has transformed Rivers State and defended the survival of
\nthe PDP.<\/p>\n

Former President Goodluck Jonathan declared that Nigerians are working for
\nthe election of Atiku Abubakar because he has the capacity\u00a0 to lead the
\ncountry out of its stagnation.<\/p>\n

He said: “In 2015, I mentioned\u00a0 that the choice before Nigerians is either
\nto move forward or backwards. Within the past four years, all the indices
\nof development, we have not made progress in any of them.<\/p>\n

“I believe that you all know that as a nation, we cannot continue to stay
\nwhere we are. We believe that the only person that can get us out of the
\nwoods, is Alhaji Atiku Abubakar”.<\/p>\n

Jonathan said that Atiku will move Nigeria forward and will not
\ndiscriminate\u00a0 against any section of the country. He said that Atiku will
\ntreat all geo-political zones fairly.<\/p>\n

PDP Vice Presidential Candidate and Former Anambra State Governor , Mr
\nPeter Obi said only Atiku Abubakar can restore the Niger Delta because he
\nbelieves in restructuring.<\/p>\n

He noted that Atiku Abubakar will create jobs\u00a0 and make the country\u00a0 to
\nstart working again.<\/p>\n

Senate President Bukola Saraki declared that Atiku Abubakar will develop
\nNigeria and drive away\u00a0 poverty.\u00a0 He urged Nigerians to\u00a0 defend their
\nvotes.<\/p>\n

PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus said despite the desperation
\nof the APC, Buhari is heading to a woeful defeat because of his failure in
\ngovernance.<\/p>\n

He, however, stated that the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on
\nthe strength of his performance, will be re-elected\u00a0 for a second term.<\/p>\n

Wife of the Presidential Candidate, Jennifer Atiku said Rivers people are
\nfully Atikulated and would come out to vote Atiku Abubakar.<\/p>\n

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal said that the North West Zone has
\nresolved to vote out failed President Muhammadu Buhari because he promotes
\nprison yard democracy and retrogression.<\/p>\n

Highpoint of the occasion was the formal withdrawal from the governorship
\nrace by 57 Governorship Candidates who endorsed the re-election of
\nGovernor Wike.\u00a0 Spokesman of the Governorship Candidates, Pastor Samuel
\nIhunwo said that their decision was premised on the outstanding
\nperformance of Governor Wike.<\/p>\n

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike received the Governorship Flag
\nwith the declaration that he will lead PDP to victory in the state.<\/p>\n
